That's funny what Brian says about Discharge... yes, it was a huge topic, because they were a huge band.... but also funny because "Into the Unknown" from Bad Religion was just as horrible, but punks everywhere forgave Bad Religion. Listening to it now, it's not terrible song writing, but when it came out most of us that bought it were like, "huh? wtf is this ???"... fortunately "Back to the Known" made up for it... and Bad Religion was big on the west coast of America (where I lived) but they weren't as huge or as influential as Discharge was worldwide.... 0 Bad Religion also made up for that stinker when they reunited and did "Suffer"... between them reuniting and everything going on in the Bay Area at the time (Lookout records), the west coast punk scene was re-ignited from near ashes... it was one of the best times I can remember. Guys that hadn't been around the scene for 4 or 5 years started coming around, bringing their old bands back, etc...
