I wish I knew this beforehand. My best broke off during driving. Car over heated slightly and stalled. Can my car still start without a belt in it? Or is it a sign the car isn’t repairable? I was planning on getting a new belt and check all the pulleys. If I replace them would it start the car???

Paid for drive belt replacement and maf code keeps triggering as well as engine light. p101 & p102. I’ve change maf 3 times still comes back. Any suggestions??? Nissan wants to charge for a WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION

I would think that the rubber of the belt . At some point would get too hard , not supple enough . To grip and make proper contact with the pulleys . UPDATE - I had recently replaced my alternator , watched a KZbin channel how to . Replaced the serpentine belt as my vehcile has 71,000 miles on it . It seems common sense to replace it each time you replace the alternator . I was able to easly twist the old one in my hands . New one of course is very stiff and unable to twist it . It expect the old one was slipping . Read to replace the serpentine belt at 50000-60000 miles
