the entire roofing logic is make everything shed water so it is really easy to figure out it should not have giant opening scooping water in they probably did not have snips or saw to cut the thing a bit shorter and thought it stuck up too far.

Hello really appreciate your videos. Apparently I have a failing boot seal around my roof vent pipe. I saw some of your videos and will be installing a perma boot I. The morning. Only thing I can't find is info if it will fit the "thinwall" pvc pipe apparently that was used in my subdivision (home was built in 1978). The inside measures just about 2 7/8". Any info would be great thx

Go to Lowe’s by what they call the three and one from a boot. It fits all sizes I’m guessing your roof is a shingle roof. It will come in all of the three size pipes that are available for a roof inch and a half two and three. The outside measurement will be 3 inches. Thanks for the reply. I got the 3 in 1 kit and installed it on Saturday. The 3 inch "cap" went on pretty snug but I used some silicone adhesive regardless. That night a nice storm front came through and seems to be the fix I needed. Thanks again, and thanks for the videos

I went to our roof one day and somebody had installed the caps upside down. I’m not talking about a couple of them I’m talking about 120 feet of them. So I have seen it all trust me as I’m sure you have if you’re in roofer going behind some of the idiots
