The flip side to the non-indicators are the bellends who start to turn a corner or pull off at a slip lane & then stick the indicator on when they're halfway through the manoeuvre! Cheers for that, I've already sussed where you're going! 🙄

Your comment re changing speed limits struck a chord with me. There is a road not far from here which, in the 1970s was NSL, then in the 1980s it dropped to 40 and stayed at that for about 10 - 15 years. Now it is 30. No new housing, no schools, hospitals or anything else. Just a mile and a half of houses set back from a dead straight road with good sight lines at junctions. Crazy!

Great video That school one really got to me. School run parents are really the worst. She went over two parking spaces to get closer. And that woman blocking the road after the temporary traffic lights. Why couldnt she wait until it was clear. Ignorant and plain stupid. And thank you for commenting about the amber lights. Some of the posters on this channels dont get it.

Hi Tony, I am retired now, but was a class one HGV driver for 45 years, and I regard myself as old school. I've seen it all in those 45 years (or so I thought). I am appalled by the standard of driving these days - some (drivers??) are absolute nutters. Tipper drivers have always been the worst lorry drivers on the road. They are paid by the number of loads they do in their shift - so the more loads they do, the more bonus they get. Skip lorry drivers come a close second.

Those cars that can't keep in their lane...there is an American trucker who does the PacMan eating the lines sound for them (wa-ka, phonetically) the entire time they are over the line in front of him (all the time). Just like "always an Audi" comes from you, I make that PacMan sound now as well!! I will admit, his horn gets more attention than yours (or mine) does! Makes me laugh instead of getting angry. Pretty much lost my road raging over 10 years ago, but always happy for a reason to smile.

A little tip for you when overtaking and coming back. Wait until you can see both the cars headlights in your centre mirror before you move back over. Works out damn close to a 2 second separation distance. Obviously this doesn't help with the twat being on your bumper whilst you were waiting for a safe distance before coming back over. I teach my pupils this centre mirror thing all the time and it works like a charm 😊

Hi T L D C, I do enjoy your videos, obviously you have selected the 'best' bits for us but much of what you show is really very common. I think I should start keeping some sort of count of how many 'bad' drivers I see as a percentage of the total, from memory I suspect it is quite small but irritating all the same. You certainly do not seem to suffer fools gladly I wonder when your attitude swings for righteous annoyance to outright road rage?. For me having had to endure such foolishness for nearly sixty years I no longer feel quite so much heat, there are times even when I feel a bit sorry for a driver who is clearly lost and confused, sometimes I think I see clear signs of very poor driver training and clearly the current driving test is inadequate. About nine times out of ten what I see looks like lack of skill and confidence rather than deliberate indifference. Cheers, Richard.

I've encountered something similar to your "sad face" sign. I was driving along the A29 on Sunday, and there was a village with a speed measuring sign that flashed up "36 - SLOW DOWN". All well and good, except right opposite was a speed limit reminder sign showing 40. So their sign is trying to enforce their own special speed limit, that is lower than the real one. They have this up for traffic in both directions, too! All this is going to do is stop law-abiding drivers like you and I from paying any attention to such signs in future.

I am starting to think people do these stupid things when driving or like the pedestrian, to make things harder so they have something, anything, to complain about...... Because nothing else makes sense. I mean there is a healthy dose of laziness in there, but it's like everyone is so desperate for any attention that they do things to make life harder just to have something to cry about to anyone who will listen.... Like using a blinker. It's like it's a personal affront to people to indicate where they are going whilst driving, because they've got to create issues out of nothing some how. I saw 2 different drivers the other day get to what we call the gore point of an off ramp, like your slip roads, and as they got to the end of the gore point they made a hard right to get on the exit. Not a sweeping right (as our exits tend to be), but a literal crank of the steering wheel to the right and one was spitting rocks, dirt and debris, with tires spinning just to make the exit. The way people drive nowadays is a combination of laziness and making things harder on themselves and others around them just for the sake of making things harder...... Smh..... Society is circling the drain in my opinion.... I don't know what it was like when the Roman civilization collapsed but I honestly think it needs to happen asap. Because society is too soft, too lazy, too indulged, too out of control..... And yes that's my opinion based on just how people drive, it doesn't include people's behavior out of their cars...

No requirement for pedestrians to read, know or obey the highway code or even know of its existence so not much point quoting it about a pedestrian. Pedestrians are perfectly allowed to cross on a red man anyway - no law against it. In fact in law, the significance of the the red man signal is merely a warning which can be heeded or not as the pedestrian sees fit. In the clip the pedestrian judged he could cross the road safely and was proved correct.

@@laurencebushby713 I've read the highway code and the law. Unlike for drivers there is no legal requirement for pedestrians to read, know or obey the highway code, including the sections you have highlighted. The only legal requirements for pedestrians are to not cause an obstruction, to obey the instructions of a police constable, to not hold on to a moving vehicle and to not walk on a motorway or level crossing or other prohibited place. That is it. There are no jay walking laws here so pedestrians can quite lawfully cross the road wherever and whenever they choose, subject to duty of care. The pedestrian in the video did nothing wrong
@ditch3827
@ditch3827 Жыл бұрын
@user-un7eu8ud8l The point is that LDC should not criticise people simply going about their lawful business. The pedestrian are quite permitted to cross the road at any time and any place. There are no jay walking laws here as roads are pedestrian rights of way and have as much right to be on them as LDC. The danger on our roads comes from drivers who don't like sharing and not from pedestrians. The pedestrian did not put himself in danger, it is the likes of LDC who does not like sharing his road with pedestrians that is the danger.
