That is how I started, I was a cyclist first then a motorbiker then the car then the van then the lorry then back to the van now car again I will not be going back to being a motorbiker or a cyclist I can assure you of that 😂

Speaking as someone who once made his living as a motorcycle dispatch rider there is a *_lot_* to be said for learning the roads on a motorbike first, it makes you a much better car/whatever driver. It is, however, not without its risks, the casualty rate for motorcyclists is _way_ up there compared to other modes of transport. But, a lot of those are "no other vehicle involved" incidents, so it's far from all being down to how other drivers treat motorcyclists. Today I had three people try to get into collisions with me within 30 seconds, one reversing out of a side road around parked cars into my path, one doing a u-turn into my lane from the other side of the road while indicating the opposite direction, and one cutting into my lane from an undertake to get around the u-turner. I avoided all of them, calmly and with no fuss, and I attribute the road awareness that kept me completely out of trouble down to having a biker's self preservation skills.

08:11 - actually the third exit is straight ahead. There are no arrow indicators on the lanes so therefore its left lane to go left and straight, right lane to go right. You are going straight so should be in the left lane.

8:00 I believe it's part of the "prefered route" set up by town planners. Like when you see signposts to major attractions, Traffic for **** use junction 4 Locals will use all routes because they know them visitors and through traffic will follow the signs. That's how it was explained to me years ago

That does make sense, but here's the thing I have with it if I use my sat nav ie Google Maps or Waze and it's set to go to Epsom it takes me down the turning that I went down and then rejoins that road that's got the Epsom sign on it further down the road.

8:22 I would say you could use either lane 1 or 2 for going straight on there, with a merge in turn at the exit. It would be more conventional to use lane 1 though, with lane 2 being used to turn right to Reigate.

Yep, it might be the third exit but it is straight ahead. The left-hand lane should be used unless otherwise directed by road markings.

Agree. It's an intermediate exit and not to the right (according to the sign). So the Highway Code says to use the appropriate lane. In this case I'd agree 1 and 2 are fine. With a preference for 1 for me. So both are fine. Only really wrong bit is van not indicating to leave the roundabout.

I need to show you this roundabout with me coming out of the second exit if you're looking to your right it looks like everyone in that lane where that van was is turning left and just not indicating obviously you can't see that from the angle that I'm showing you on the video.

Just also nothing wrong with using lane 1, and as mentioned elsewhere by me (before getting abuse from from a select person) and also from others here that an indicator would’ve been nice from the van driver

At 9.47, the roundabout 3rd exit, on the approach the sign I think was showing the 3rd turn as a straight on. Thus the left lane would be ok too as your exit is at 12 o clock,

8:14 The reason they don't signpost exit 3 for Epsom is because it leads into Church Street (the old road in from Burgh Heath, now diverted via the A2022) which is quite narrow in places, especially past the Old King's Head pub. Exit 2 goes straight to the multi-storey car park in the middle of the one-way system.

Why does taking the third exit immediately mean getting into the right hand lane? The third exit on that at 8:15 roundabout appears to be straight ahead I would say the van was in the correct, logical lane for the roundabout whereas you was in the lane that you thought appropriate. Both correct in a way Signals and position. When taking the first exit to the left, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise - signal left and approach in the left-hand lane - keep to the left on the roundabout and continue signalling left to leave. When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise - signal right and approach in the right-hand lane - keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout - signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want. When taking any intermediate exit, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise - select the appropriate lane on approach to the roundabout - you should not normally need to signal on approach - stay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundabout - signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want. Agree that a signal would’ve been nice in that instance

Rule 112 of Highway Code says use your horn only to make people aware of your presence and not to use it aggresively. At 6:48, 11:30 and 11:55 you used it aggresively and as a form of reprimand. To use the horn correctly you should use it before an incident arises to let drivers/pedestrians know you are there. You use it AFTER the incident which is pointless and intimidatory.

Just because a driver or motkrbike rider or cyclist are not looking towards you does NOT mean that they are not aware of you and could well be using their peripheral vision. Well in my day you had to do either a turn in the road or a reverse round the corner and if you are really unlucky you had to do them both. Once again LDC shows he does not understand traffic signals or how to drive safely in the presence of pedestrians. Red man does not mean it is prohibited to cross; it is simply a warning the vehicles can proceed across the stop line if safe to do so. Green does not mean 'go' or that you have priority; it simply means the prohibition of crossing the stop line does not apply and so you can proceed if safe to do so. In the clip there were pedestrians on the carriage way in front of LDC so it was not safe to proceed. But what does LDC do? He starts accelerating to towards the pedestrians a few feet in front of him which is dangerous and a section 3 offence. Tut.
