PEDANT WARNING The "Fire Engine" is a Dennis built Fire Appliance that when it was in service was usually known as a Pump Escape. The name derives from the large wheeled 50ft ladder mounted on top. These ladders were phased out of operational service a while back and replaced by a similar length lighter weight ladder that is easier to use.

Green car at the start 1:15 was perfectly OK entering the roundabout but perfectly wrong going across the middle of it.

I get that all the time when I come from the right down my street. I even have to slow down just in case. I LOVE the dirty looks I get while turning especially as I go around the zit, I mean mini roundabout 😸😸😸😸😸

That always happens to me at leatherhead train station I come around there every morning and the people on the outside want to get into your lane just because they're too lazy to get into the right lane before the lights. And they always try to get across under the railway bridge and squeeze you into the kerb.

At 9:27, that's a 100e Anglia from 1959 but looking at pictures, it appears to have had some modifications carried out, which is not uncommon on these. I drive an unmodified one dating from 1956, which is an interesting drive with its less than 38hp and 3 speed gearbox (no syncro on 1st!)

First clip I noticed it was a drive of a German made vehicle, yes if drivers get too close to me I slow down if they don't get the message I slow even more and so on till they get the message and back off, remember the 2 second rule

On the subject of give ways signs, I noticed a few weeks back that two new give way signs had been erected at a local junction. Not really an issue, but the junction is a damned roundabout!!!

In Bromley there are a number of mini-roundabouts with very restricted vision, and yes people approach the too quickly and not prepared to stop: however, all along these roads are launch pads, known a sleeping policemen but, guess what, where they may be useful, say about 10ft before the roundabouts - nothing. This is precisely where they may be useful, to slow down the BMWs, Audis and white vans.

On Friday 7th June i was at a roundabout in my work van on my way home from the morning school run. A DHL was in the middle lane, decided to go into my lane while the traffic was moving , all he did was flash the hazards at me after i beeped him

you're dead right about the road markings in that hotel, they are a complete mess car parks seem to be increasingly designed by people who don't drive, have no idea about the practical requirements of a car park, and also have no idea just how slow 5 mph actually is

Holiday Inn Sutton used to have a parking ticket machine at the entrance so you had to drive on the wrong side of the road to access the machine from the driver's window. Look at May 2016 street view.

From my observations it looks like the road authorities put up signs. traffic lights and road markings to keep people working. Very few drivers take notice. We have some mini roundabouts down under too but at least the authorities raise them a little bit. We do get some (insert favourite rude words) that cut across all types of roundabout instead of going around. Hope you had a happy birthday and gave yourself the day off.

The old white car looked like a Ford Popular 100E but I may be wrong. The smell could be unburnt fuel due to the accelerator pedal being on the floor & the carburettor is just not adjusted properly. Bear it mind the engine was designed for leaded petrol & I think no some additive is needed.

Yup, Ford Popular 100E. Made and sold from 1959-62. It had a breathtaking whole 36 hp, so the smell *_is_* probably the driver pushing the pedal flat to the floor in a desperate attempt to keep up with modern traffic, thus pushing a very rich mixture through it. It had a top speed of 70 mph, and 0-60 mph of 32 seconds, and all of 3 forward gears. The cabin heater was an optional extra, and the windscreen wipers were driven by the manifold vacuum resulting in very variable windscreen wiping depending on how hard or not the engine was working at any given moment.

Wrong I'm afraid. The markings are getting rather worn but that lane has straight on and right double-headed arrows. Have a look on Google Maps - it's Station Approach Leatherhead.

I think you misunderstood the ocado driver. He may be a "professional" driver but that doesn't mean he knows every road in the area. Likely as not he's following satnav. So if you're going to turn right at a junction with two lanes, obviously you're going to choose the right hand lane. Having made that turn, the satnav then tells him he now needs to turn left. I don't think he did anything wrong.

I think that is still the case, it allows cab drivers to let off their fare easier. My dad always on this and he also said that there is no modern traffic law that says you have to drive on the left. All the Highway Code says is 'Keep to the left'. There is no 'must,' so it is just guidance.

At 11:05, you show complete intolerance and impatience to the driver parking. I'm still waiting from a previous video where in the Highway Code it says that you must not inconvenience other drivers. I can't find it anywhere. What I can find is rule 147 'Be considerate. Try to be understanding if other road users cause problems. Be patient; remember anyone can make mistakes. Do not allow yourself to become agitated." Everything that you dont do!

I believe the little white car was a 1959 Ford Prefect or Popular with a two litre lump under the bonnet. My Dad had a Prefect in 1959/60. I don't think his had as much grunt.

Well that is LDC all over. He uses the horn after the incident has occurred and, as you say, to show frustration. The whole point of the horn is to alert other drivers of your presence if you feel they haven't seen you, and using it would prevent an incident from occurring. LDC regularly uses it to vent his anger, and there was even one video where he could have used it legally but did not do so!!!
