They always do it, same as bad lane discipline, no indicating generally ~ and thats even in automatics , where lets face it; they dont actually have a bloody lot to do driving a car except mess with a phone or do their make up.

I just thought I'd mention that a postman today cut the corner going into the doctors surgery by so much he was actually more on my side than his own. I blew the horn to warn him I was there as he obviously didn't see a 1.5 ton bright red SUV and he gave me the "get out of my way peasant" look instead of apologising for driving like a dick. Professional indeed!

that's what i did a couple of years ago. it was a side road, cars parked along the other side. the van should have waited and let me pass, but he didn't. so i stopped my bike right there in the middle of the road and just stood there. eventually he reversed into a gap, then we both went on our ways.

I think you might have misjudged the white Merc driver when he turned right at the lights. I suspect he wanted to be certain his exit would be clear before moving onto the junction - just in case he ended up blocking it due the lights sequence and weight of traffic from the opposite direction. It appeared that as soon as he could see the last of the oncomers, he moved forward. But you were right about the lack of indicator fluid!

20:34 I did something similar myself recently - managed to sit through a whole green cycle waiting for a filter light to turn on and it never did! I think I'd somehow got confused about the type of traffic light (probably expecting a separate light sequence for it or something), when I was looking at the lights the whole time. Thankfully there was no one else behind me so I didn't hold anyone else up. Shows it can happen even to the more observant among us though! Needless to say the next cycle I made sure to actually move forward to trigger the filter light!

There's a set of lights near me that only uses the filter light if there's enough traffic to trigger sensors further back from the lights, so you have to just go with it.

Audi's are notorious for having rock hard suspension as the roads in Germany are so smooth, here in the uk they have to weave around the manhole covers to make it bearable. I'm sure that's why they drive like they do as they've got to get out of it asap!

After watching dashcam footage from all over the world it is quite obvious that drivers licenses are far too easy to get and keep. The majority of drivers should not be allowed to be in control of any vehicle bigger than a matchbox car. The worst drivers seem to be in the most expensive cars, but you don't need to be intelligent to have money, you just need a rich daddy.

Yes, YOU had a green light and, having turned right, I agree there are NO traffic lights on your side. However, there ARE lights on the other side (the side the woman began to cross the road from). As she began to cross, there was a beamer at the lights (lights that DO exist, so says street view, on t’other side to where you & the Peugeot are). The beamer seemed in no hurry to move off & I’m wondering if it might’ve been a red light (and, consequently, a green man).🤔 In fact, I’m surprised you didn’t remark upon the ‘full house’ of, a beamer, merc, cyclist, van and … an Audi, all waiting (seemingly) quite patiently. I commiserate with you having to put up with those numpties all day, every day. My old mum always used to say " The things you see when you haven't got a gun" ( she mainly used it for the actions of German tourists abroad- long story). Also that VW banker had no right to make that action. I think he thought you should have pulled over for him to overtake you. We've all got potholes, our roads are all terrible. They put in a patch which immediately comes out the next lorry that goes over it. We have a lot of container lorries driving round us in Northamptonshire. So enjoy your streams, ta mate.

13:25 Both the car drivers and the cyclist were in the wrong but the guy who turned right without indicating until the last minute and the guy who pulled out on the cyclist were the most at fault for that stand-off. The cyclist had right of way at that junction, and that doesn't change just because he'd just gone through a red light, and if you know you're turning, you indicate in good time, not at the last second.

Having come across closed exits on roundabouts a few times myself (usually at night, just to add to the fun) I can empathise with you. I suspect the other drive the W:anchor:-signer was a little miffed by the fact that a car in front (you) did not seem to obey the normal rules of lane usage, but surely would have seen the lane closure and realised you had no alternative. If I was that driver I think it might have been a case of, in the moment, "oh, what a dick!" followed a second or two later by, "oh, ok, no harm, no foul" an dnot a minute later by a rude gesture - ONLY when your paths were diverging, almost as if he feared being 'road-raged' by you!

The Aldi was next to you so you slowed to let that finish its turn but the wreck was still behind and should have noticed the exit was closed. The car should not have pulled out as his exit route was not clear and he made the mistake pf assuming the car in the road would carry on a head and clear the way. You should never drive on assumptions and what you hope to happen, but drive according to what is actually happening. 20:00 - absolutely pointless use of the horn and not in accordance with HC rule 112 as you used it aggressively. You cold have used it correctly at 19:57. 20:35 - there was no point in the car moving forward as he could see there was a long line of traffic so he did the right thing and moved in one move by waiting for a gap. 24:40 - as you say you must always keep a good distance from vehicle ahead. All the information that he was going to turn left was there as he moved to the right and slowed down but it took you a while to twig that.

Oh you beauty , I know something about "Potholes " state of the roads etc , well , 1 Council Leeds , has come out with an estimated report that it will take 19.5 YEARS and at a cost of £288 Million , to fix the roads to an acceptable standard . and when have estimates by the council / government's been even remotely been around the estimate , either time or £ Money . Millennium Dome , The Euro Tunnel , wasn't the London Eye over way over too ? oh well the other 2 certainly springs to mind .

At 5;40 the 'toy car' ...with both the right hand lanes going straight on, an advanced driver, or one with a smidgin of foresight, would have moved into the far right lane to facilitate any driver in a toy car, or any other entering from that side road, entering the other straight ahead lane, wouldn't they, or in your case...not

20 minutes in white Merc. Dont enter a junction unless you can cross without stopping - Highway code; not that you see many people obeying. Of course, they might have been on their phone, how often do you see a Merc obey ANY traffic laws? Dropped drain cover avoidance - not saying this is why the two featured were making such a meal of it; but those of us with badly damaged spines do try to avoid them if possible, as the jolt can send searing pain up and down through the damaged areas; right down to our toes. In my case, L1, 2, 3, and 4 are all fucked; and even a dip in the road can cause sharp pain on a bad day. (Waiting for my latest x-ray results, to see if I need further surgery)

At 17:15 Was that Nick Ferrari (LBC presenter & Spud from Sidcup) driving that silver VW Polo YP17 XBZ? Classic case where a driver deliberately steers to the kerb, to prevent a cyclist filtering, forcing this female cyclist into the oncoming traffic! You mentioned the cyclist in pink not looking behind her, there is an explanation for this, but it is dificult to explain in text only. If you observe, it's not the easiest cycle to manoeuvre in traffic. What is more enlightening, an ordinary cyclist, in leafy Surrey, riding a heavy steel non aero cycle, is beating the traffic!🤭 At 12:30 Clearly the driver was in a "URY" and you were driving at the speed limit! Road hog!!!!
