Yes you are right, they are kind of same except that badam ki jali does not uses ghee :-)

Firstly, Asalamualaikum to everyone especially those from Hyderabad! Growing up I always had Badam Jali and it was the best thing in the world for me. However, ever since I moved away from Hyderabad, I never got a chance to relish it again. Thanks to this channel, I can finally try making this at home. So grateful to you! Keep up the good work! Cheers to Hyderabad!!! Also, I'd one question -- what if I just get almond flour and then stir it on low flame in a non-stick pan and follow the steps henceforth? Would it still work?

+Gulnaaz Afzal - Soaking almonds changes the texture of the nut which is easy to cook and digest. Your idea is also worth giving a shot but I haven’t tried it yet, and i m guessing the taste may slightly differ. Btw if you are gonna use almond flour make sure the flour mix is peeled almonds.

Can v use Almond Flour instead of original Almonds?and if yes then plz guide me about measurement and procedure i love your recipe u made it simple

Thanks for your feedback, with almond flour the taste would be very different. I was able to make the same recipe with readymade blanched almonds, that way you can skip one step. Hope this helps 🙂

+ Ameena Kausar - You’re Welcome!! *For 3 string sugar syrup you can boil for 3-4 minutes, carefully take some syrup in between your fingers and check how many strings are formed. *Baking is completely optional, if you don’t have oven you can use pressure cooker without whistle and bake for 5- 10 mins similar to how we bake cakes in pressure cooker. *water is added to sugar syrup only, the proportion is 1:1 (equal amounts) Hope this helps, let me know if you have any question, i’ll be happy to help. I would suggest you not to use Almond flour because it contains phytic acid which causes gut issues. Plus with almond flour the taste would differ. I was able to make the same recipe with readymade blanched almonds, (they come without skin) that way you can skip one step. Hope this helps 🙂

+Nilofer Zahoor Khan - Thanks a lot for your appreciation!! 2 reason hosaktey hai sticky hone ke liye - 1.Sugar syrup thoda zyada add hogaya 2.mixture mai moisture abhi bhi hai toh apko slow flame mai tab tak pakana chahiye jab tak ye puri tarah se thick hogaye aur thanda hone ke baad ye aur bhi thick hojata hai. one more suggestion - ye almond and sugar mixture hai toh thoda sticky rahega, aap jis tarah roti banate waqt khushki ka istemaal karte hai usi tarah se powdered sugar use karen the way I have shown in the video, hope this helps :-)
