What I was commenting is that only the authors have the legitimacy to classify something as an insult to the original because it's theirs. They are the only ones who can measure how a version is betraying or offending the original intention. We can hate something that moves away from the original, but it is not up to us to consider it an insult to something we didn't create. If shit music exists, then there's probably people who listen to it, so it is not shit to them, just a matter of opinion. One we should respect.

Maybe you just hate jazz & smooth rhythm music, cause you can't deny that Badbadnotgood is an amazingly talented band with great style & taste. I also believe Sam Herring wouldn't be involved in a shit reinterpreted version of his own song ya know. It's subjected to taste. I personally love it as much as the original as listen to it more.
