I was a Canarian (from Canary Islands) working and living in Rotterdam in the Netherlands with a friend, that left the country before me, and I discovered this song during that days, and it hitted me like a sucker punch from the back, while realising I was gonna be on my own for several months. This song always reminds me of the feeling I had those days, like fear, nostalgia, and somehow happiness to be challenged in that way. That time in my life, as a naive it might sounds, changed my life. Beatiful song, it made me feel emotions that no song in the last past years have made me feel. To me it's got that real mid-afternoon feel, when it's too late to be morning but too late to be evening, you're a bit buzzed and the light comes in at a slant angle like an autumn afternoon...can't tell what time it is, just kinda 'out of it' and 'with it' at the same time feeling.
