I don’t understand all the shoulda kuda from the SOFA, I am amazed at how and what they fabricated from junk and scraps. Oh yeah I do believe that they are still in mock up mode and if you have followed them for any length of time you will see that they always make it work. Don’t understand the negative comments. Build your car film it and then post it up on KZbin and maybe you can show us your way, there’s always more than one way to skin a cat. AWESOME CONTENT!!!! Jolene you did an awesome job filming and then putting it all together and then posting it up for us to enjoy. Thank you 🙏 for sharing your craft and I truly appreciate how your complete team work together and really seam to enjoy the builds and working together as a BADASS team.

Most of us really really like the show and the builds , but if someone gives an opinion that’s all it is, some of us who have given an opinion when asked, only to be shot down by others subscribers ,even the people who offer an opinion with a great idea seem to get moaned at as well. Seems a waste of time giving opinions when asked at times only to have other subscribers taking things to personal, me personally love the content and think these Guys make a great team and I can only hope to see a lot more content from the HILTZ TEAM… But at the end of the day if I want to give an opinion I will after all we’re all Human Beings… So keep up the fantastic work Guys and keep them Videos coming, said with respect to all watching the show… From New Zealand 🇳🇿 ✌️😎👍

If you make the rear axle solid to the bar to the chassis as it moves it will change your pinion angle which is not what you want the pinion angle should not change as the axle moves up and down thus putting more stress on the universal joint causing it to fail. I use to build racing chassis here in NZ You will also need a Panhard bar to stop the rear axle from swaying side ti side.

Chad, Jolene, Doug, Nathan… thank you. As I go through the cancer journey I’m on, it is a joy to me to daily watch your builds. I live somewhat vicariously through others’ experiences at the moment because of the limitations I’m dealing with. I may not be there in your garage in Nova Scotia, but really enjoy your shows you put out. Idea… how about some videos of your lives outside the garage? Maybe going out to dinner, any other hobbies you would like to share with your viewing audience, even going to the market. We’d love to see what y’all do outside the garage too 🙂

The radius rods from the early Ford rearend outside (the one that Doug was using to bend the circles for the spring cups) could have been used for the new rearend. Make up some nice brackets to attach the radius rods to the rear axle, make up some threaded bungs for the front of them for heim joint rod ends, and you would have some nice split rear wishbones similar to the fronts.

I think a 35 or 36 Ford Frame would work great for your Dodge coupe body which is already set up for the Ford Flathead. What do you think Chad. Is that a good idea. The chassis you are using now the engine will sit up to high the way the frame sits. The drive shaft will be sitting above your floor boards. The wheel base is longer on the 33-34 Dodge coupe then a Model A or 32. Its possible to use a 33-34 Ford frame but even that wheel base may be not long enough.

Just Curious. With the added X brace installed, where is the drive shaft going to run. The engine mounts make the engine set too high in the frame. The old X had a passage built in for the drive shaft with enough travel and space to allow for suspension to work. The add on z is where the problem is for not being in alignment. Should have cut it off at the original frame and made a new front section.
