I've heard of BirdStat before, but I had never used it until now. I like how you laughed right as you were talking about Laughing Gulls. My top "total individuals counted" species is the American Coot.

Thanks for showing birdstat! I’ll have to check it out and pass it along to their ebirders!

This is amazing! Haven't heard of this before and this is such an amazing way to visualize birding data. Thanks for the information!

Just came across this video you did. Your calendar looked pretty sparse after May. You better be making a bunch of videos the rest of the year! Maybe do an update to see what yours looks like a couple years later.

Thanks, Derek! I’d been wanting to see a total map of particular species I’ve seen. And all the other data is so cool, too. There goes my day….

Never even heard of birdstat. I’m going to check it out right now. I love looking at my eBird data, and others (makes jealous eyes). There is even more numbers to comb over? What?! “Don’t worry there’s no math.” Cut to me making a sad face.

Thanks Derek ! We just downloaded it and it’s pretty cool. I’m assuming it doesn’t update your totals with each checklist? Do you just have to repeat the process every time you want to see the stats?
@BadgerlandBirding2 жыл бұрын
Yup! I believe if you add more data on eBird you have to re-download your data and put it into BirdStat again.

I've apparently recorded ROPI 1,322 times and seen 39,060 EUST 💀 I have 401 ABA code 1's; 69 code 2's; 4 code 3's; and 1 code 4. Also go to graphs > comments. It's so cool.

I can create an eBird account if I know how to. I was so happy to hear and see an ivory-billed woodpecker one time.
@bearybirding2 жыл бұрын
Do you have any details on plumage, location, behaviours, etc.? The slightly smaller and far more common Pileated Woodpecker is easily confused, but still a noble and fantastic sighting.

@@bearybirding I recognized its "kent" call from the audio and saw it had a pale white bill, as well as more black on the front of it. It was in a woodlot next to a lake at Johnny Henderson Park which is above Enterprise, Alabama.
