One of the best places to bird in Minnesota is undoubtedly the Sax-Zim Bog. The Sax-Zim Bog is home to both habitats and birds found almost nowhere else in the region. Join Badglerland Birding as they search for some of these amazing birds including Black-backed Woodpeckers, Sharp-tailed Grouse, American Three-toed Woodpeckers and much more.

I saw an American three-toed woodpecker today in banff NP, Alberta, Canada. It was feeding next to a paved but forested path. It was obviously used to people.
