Next trip you go to the rio grande valley, you should go to the Edinburg scenic wetlands they have a butterfly garden and two giant pond is full of egrets and herons, and also spoonbills

Love, LovE Green Jays :) THIS was the bird that got me all fired up, to jump in my car and drive 2100 miles one way, to the South Texas Rio Grande Valley :) Of course I ended up getting all kinds of other fantastic birds too. But Green Jay was the one that kicked the whole thing off :) I remember when I got to Laguna Atascosa, I asked one of the workers what the odds were that Id see a Green Jay ? He laughed and said, "About 100%" :) He told me to just sit down on the bench right there and wait about 5 minutes :) He was right. I got Nat Geo shots of them :) SO cool :) PS, when I first stumbled across GJ on the internet, I thought, "Yea, that's cool.... But I'm sure its from the Amazon, right" ? Then I was like, South Texas ! What the... ?!?! 3 days later I was in my car heading for South Texas :) lol Memories of a lifetime :)

And whenever you go to see the Green Jays especially at Laguna Atascosa bring oranges and grapefruits they'll even go to Suet bar feeders with peanut butter cakes .
