Frugaldom is a land-management project just a few miles from the Galloway Forest in SW Scotland. We provide sanctuary to a few rescued and rehomed ponies, goats and feral cats, plus an abundance of wildlife, including pine marten, badgers and an active adder population.
We promote sustainability, frugality, wildlife conservation, environmental awareness, outdoor creativity, hutting and natural horse care. We also provide vistors with the opportunity to stop overnight in campervans or small motorhomes. We are a Certificated Location Aire for self-contained vehicles up to 7.5m max length. Bring what you need and leave no trace. Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on leads at all times and you clean up after them but we don't provide waste bins.
We operate voluntarily as a non-profit social enterprise, supported by our online followers, volunteers, sponsors, campervan stopover visitors and the Friends of Frugaldom group membership.
Anyone can offer to help and anyone can contribute towards the project running costs. Just search for 'Frugaldom' to find us on social media and elsewhere.
