Badges & Buttons - Fun Fun Fun!

This arrived in a colourful box with images of the badge maker on the sides. Once opened all the plastic back covers, metal shells, plastic films and blank round paper are on the top in individual plastic bags. In the bottom of the box you get the main mechanism, and the three different sized badge moulds in separate boxes.
First impressions: the kit certainly comes with a mass of badge blanks and sizes, with everything you need to get started. The usage and assembly instructions could have been a bit clearer but in conjunction with the simple video on the product page I found it easy enough to set up. I like that this also comes with three sizes of circle cutter which work well, and save having to use scissors.
After unpacking everything my eight year old daughter was excited to help me try this out. We tried this out by cutting out some pictures using the circle cutter and going through the process. We did make a couple of mistakes such as having the badge backing the wrong way up, and not separating the plastic cover into a single sheet. You do need to ensure the paper used for the picture isn’t too thick, and that you only use a single clear plastic disk as it is then very difficult to press, and can fail.
It does need a fair bit of pressure when pushing the press down, and my eight year old needed assistance. The results are really good, making a badge indistinguishable from a shop bought badge. My daughter has been drawing pictures on the white disks and making badges for everyone. We have tried out all the different badge sizes, and badge moulds which all worked perfectly, along with being a simple process to change.
Overall in my opinion this is a great badge making kit. Everything is in the box to get started along with make a mass of badges. The process is quick and easy, taking under a minute to fully make a badge.
