They look really nice, but I like how the shape of the mk7 tail goes well with the headlights. I bought a used set of tails to possibly cut open and do some lighting wizardry, but we’ll see if that even happens.

Hey, I totally missed this! They are sprayed with Superwrap in their Copper Metallic spray. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, but it was a ton of work to get a great result and as expected for a product like this (spray on vinyl) it should only be considered temporary. I've run them for about a year (except winter) and overall pretty happy with it. It's a great way to test colors, but having done all that work and knowing it won't last forever I would be more than happy to pay someone to powder coat them than go through the process again.

I'll never understand the obsession with removing/covering up safety devices. Those markers are there for a reason.

I understand it isn't for everyone and it isn't ideal for me as I'd prefer to have the euro headlights with the clear/white reflector, but that's obviously way more expensive. I'm looking into adding some kind of clear or back reflective vinyl on top to make up for it. Thanks for watching!
