Badi Kaneez was the singer of the court of Darbhanga. She was an elite singer. Her grandmother used to sing in the harem of Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. Their mother Ayesha Begum was also a good singer and was with Zubairuddin Gorgan, the grandson of Bahadur Shah Zafar. Badi Kaneez once faced humiliation at the court of Darbhanga. Due to which her mental condition deteriorated. She left Darbhanga and went to Patna City. The streets started wandering. She died there one day. People say that she was a great singer and was a very honest, innocent, and kind woman.

This is by far the most heart-breaking account!!! 💔 A talented artist, a gentle soul, and an extremely sensitive woman could not handle the neglect and indifference, which are harsh realities of life. One thing that never changes in this ever-changing world is that nothing lasts for ever...name, fame, money, power, adulation and admiration. It must have been totally devastating for her, and she couldn't come to terms with it. She lost her sanity, and the music world lost an incomparable talent. Indeed, a sad end. 💔
