Really Appreciate it, where can we get the frame/chassis measurements plan ? Hope you will reply.

The basic frame is a badland buggy st2, you can order plans from them.

Just got my rolling frame mocked up, looks like I will have to stretch mine to fit my sv1000 in, went from an edge design to this because of the simplicity. How do you have the rear drivetrain setup? I was going to go to a 930 cv but it seems too big going to the rear knuckles and bearings for what I have, dont know what the plans called for.

Plans called for u-joints that could handle 10hp. These are axles from a pontiac solstice (what i had laying around at the time). The center section is all custom, made from splined shaft and some hubs from Grob spline. The axles i cut down and made new splined female end on inner welded to the joint.

So what CV axles, and wheel hubs did you use on this? Been contemplating buying this or the ST2NG and Badlands states using some version of Ujoints.

i made my own system using pontiac solstice axles and hubs
@radbuggies9764 жыл бұрын
mostly because they were what was available at the time. i used a splined shaft from Grob with their hubs for the center section between the inner cvs

I have VW bug CV axles for the old school bug. They seem to be almost too short for something like this, unless I make them longer. How wide are the Solstice axles? What I have are only 16 3/4" or so end to end.

why you dont test this baggy ?

I did test it, and disassembled it before powder coating. This video was right after putting it all back together, the cleanest it will ever be!
