I wish I had more time to work on mine. I have been working on it for 3 months and have only just finished the front suspension and rear A arms plus the main chassis.

I used same bearing housings on my first project, and it has trailing arm suspension, and it holds very nicely. So i think vw golf bearing housings arent from casted metal, ot welds good and i was able to lathe it. So no worries

Watch out with those rear uprights! I wanted to do the same with my ST2 Long Travel: Grind the donor car bearing houses round and weld them in my ST2 uprights.. but the bearing houses are from casted iron and very hard..you can not weld it very good. And they get a lot of forces on them! So watch out! Erwin

Where does one get all the plans and specs for suspension geometry, etc.? Beyond what speed is crash surviveability optional? Too bad no one makes a 1/2 in. wall carbon fiber tub to which any style of suspension could be attached. oh well.

Hi balzabubinas !!!! I am building the ST4 Are you are to provide info on how you installed to clutch? The ST4 plans require purchasing 3 master cylinders ( two for the brakes, 1 for the clutch ) but the clutch on 2006 CBR600RR engine recommended is cable driven. Do you have info. on how the clutch is installed( cable or hydraulic)

You can simply purchase two cylinders and make linkage for clutch for cable to pedal or modify and bolt slave cylinder to the engine. Advantages of hydraulic clutch is that in winter you wont get freezed clutch cable.
