Love how the Ground Gundam waited for pretty much his whole team to die before deciding to solo the Zaku's. Also the Gouf was easily the best part of this.

I wish this was an actual anime, the fighting here is so immersive and real compared to the fighting we normally see
@jayk.743 жыл бұрын
I cannot express how good this is. It’s so immersive that it doesn’t even feel like an animation at times. I’d say my favorite parts are the drawn in effects, like the swords and explosions. This is such an inspiration to anyone who is or even isn’t into stop motion.

One of things i love about this Series is that you can tell by how they move, work together, and fight that the Zion pilots are more experienced, while the federation pilots seem more desperate and frantic by comparison
@RapidActionAnimations3 жыл бұрын
I’m speechless. This was a masterpiece in every way possible. 1) Sets The sets were so well detailed and I know based off the sos of the Gundams it’s hard to build bigger sets. Really liked the in one scene you made the ground open up to let the walls slide up. 2) the practical effects were insane. The way you used cotton, hand drawing in Stop motion studio and other techniques made it look and feel so good. 3) vfx. All the gun movie fx were well done and looked realistic. I noticed the bullets and smoke especially added to the realism. I also liked the combination with the hand drawing for lasers and bullet impacts. 4) Music Music was great and overal fit the tone and created a sort of audio version of the story’s progression. 5) compositing Loved the use of green screen for the figures inside of the Gundams and for the shots where they were inside buildings. The shot with the soldier crawling out of the Gundam for some reason felt like he was too small compared to the Gundam in comparison to other shots but that’s fine. 6) Audio/Sfx The Sfx as always were simple yet detailed and I liked the variety of Gundam sounds. By the way where you get them? 7) animation/masking The animation was really smooth for the most part and felt like it had weight and a feel to it (not robotic)! The masking was also well done and I ant even imagine how long it must have taken you to do. 10/10 great job man! Loved the story and every aspect of this and it’s got to be one of your best videos. I know how much effort it takes to make longer animations (I tried that with sos and it strained me) so I appreciate the effort you put in. Questions. 1) for your sets they would change often based on angles or scenery so did you storyboard the shots or do it on the go? I mean a lot of the shots are random shots that out together from both sets work well so I’m just curious. 2) Did you use VSDC for your editing? I also use it. 3) how big is your set? It seems like it’s really big. 4) Do you plan on using Gundam more in the future? 5) Any advice on Gundam hand joints? My hole for my hand joint became too big and now my hand can’t fit into the hole.
@badlaxeanimations32053 жыл бұрын
1. I pretty much made it up as I went 2. I used VSDC to manage storage 3. I use 2 by 2 gray Lego baseplates 4. I hope to continue animating Gundam but I want to take a break 5. Use superglue. Although I’m not sure if that would work with hand joints. Thanks again for your support! I’m happy you’ve enjoyed my animations so far.

This is sick man. I don’t know how posable those gundam figures are, but you did a great job with articulating their movements. The drawn in effects you made were amazing as always. I know how annoying those can be to draw, and you draw them in such detail, it’s amazing. Also some really great vfx in here to show the true scale of the Gundams. I loved that shot of the guy running away before it steps into screen. The detail of them creating a small crater in the ground every time they took a step in the grass was also really cool. It always amazes me how you can create such long stopmotions, that are also just so good. That takes some crazy dedication. You’re definitely one of the most, if not, the most talented stopmotion creator in the community. Props man

That was an amazing way to show off the performance of a Gundam. Even though the ground type isn't one of the strongest Gundams it's still far superior to other mobile suits even with non ace pilot it takes out several Mobile suits. Dude, this and the other short films from this series are so insanely good, the voice acting is pretty flat but I think that's a positive because it gives off those homemade, stop motion vibes that you would make with friends and family. This feels like Gundam Thunderbolt with even MORE grit, the brutality is blink and you'll miss it but that's kind of how war is, you can't focus on every single death and you keep pushing on regardless, amazing work.
