Lol, I have to blame my stupidity more than the tool. Sometimes I get in a hurry and do stupid things. My finger never has healed back properly.

I have that same grill on my 77 K5 Blazer, which I'm swapping a 5.3 LS into, and I'm going to twin turbo it. I'm hoping to make somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000 horsepower when I'm done.

Angle grinders are very good at cutting skin but don't leave a very clean cut

No sir, they most certainly do not! This was seven months ago and my fingers still not right. 😒

yea its happened more than a few times on this turbo build. I thought I had most of what I needed but Im getting nickeled and dimed to death. Of course its mainly because I want everything to look nice and neat. If I didnt care then I could have probably already been finished,lol.

Hey man! how did that intercooler worked out? is it really worth it ? you get what you pay for as in the torque converter? cheers! one hell of a job you do on those cars! got a new subscriber over here

I never did an official test of that intercooler but if you watch the video where I tested the turbo blanket you’ll see I actually used a laser thermometer and took the temp across the intercooler just for the hell of it and there was about a 20 degree difference in temp from the inlet side to the outlet side. I’d call that pretty effective for an $80 intercooler. 👍

Is that a 3" core intercooler?

Yes sir. Thanks for watching!

Bad Luck Garage thanks, I went with a 4", but it looks like it's not going to work.
@BadLuckGarage6 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I'm considering switching to a 2.5" just to get the factory grill back in without cutting it. At current power levels I shouldnt need suck a large intercooler anyway. May save this one for a future build.

What's your current rwhp? I'm going with a Procharger D1SC. Shooting for 600rwhp.
@BadLuckGarage6 жыл бұрын
No clue. I've honestly never had any of my cars on a dyno in my life. Im more worried about performance than dyno numbers. ;) If you're building a street car, 600whp should be fun though.
