Where did you hook the mil lamp light (brown) wire up to?
@BadLuckGarage5 сағат бұрын
@@jonathangibson2482 To the mil light we added to the dash. Check out the DrNova playlist on this channel and look for the custom dash video for more details. But basically the mil light is a ground trigger, so you need to run 12v switched power to the mil light, then run the mil light wire from the pcm on the other side of the light. When the pcm triggers the light it will ground the circuit to turn the light on.

Just bought 2010 SS yesterday and could not find fog light switch, now I know why lol. 100% agreed, no idea what GM was thinking about having daytime running lights instead of fog lights. Looks like I will just do what you did. As a person who likes running parking lights and fog lights together, I guess I can just do this and run them all the time with headlights. Thanks for showing the process, much appreciated.

@@BadLuckGarage no it isn't just a display, you can use a tablet or a phone for that. Mine is based on the holley but uses the speeduino ecu architecture and tuner studios for tuning which you can access via the dash by USB. I'm thinking of adding a Bluetooth module but that might be down the road

Think of it like an open source copy of the holley hardware running different software. I've built maybe 3 or 4 and I'm trying to figure out a universal CAN sniffer so people with later model year vehicles can go to a stand alone setup without losing the rest of the cars functionality. The heart of the setup is like I said a speeduino style stand alone ecu board but instead of using the arduino mega with a 250mhz processor for the microcontroller /interface I'm using a micro with a 32 bit processor

My 1985 car comes with a 190 thermostat. It does get very hot on the 90 + degree days! So, not sure what to do, as we also get -45 degree days. I do drive my car everyday. I also put in the larger rad, but it still gets hot. And hot air just does not help. So I try only to drive it to work and home on those very hot days. Any suggestions would be great. The only other comment I found was to run the lower thermo in summer and put the higher temp one in winter. ...I can work a lot on my car, so I could change this out. I do hate getting leaks there however, which it can be prone to do...oh well!

No need for a check valve. Both your pull-up pump and the single pump in the surge tank will need to run all the time. You can just leave a stock pump as a pull-up pump and then run whatever pump you want in the surge tank. The pull-up pump doesn’t need to be a monster.
