You are very thorough Anastasia I love how you take your time to show how this is not impossible to fix, I had a client come in with nails that was so bad I’ve never seen anything like it and it’s not that I only like clean nails to work on I just realised it was a challenge it took me 2hrs to fix her hands 1hr to clean the skin and damage then 1hr to apply some nail forms to transform her nails, I didn’t want to apply tips I thought the paper nail forms were lighter with less filing & blending of a tip why I didn’t want to give her tips, that lady now takes care of her nails she has 3in nails now all her own with gel overlay and looks after her hands, it doesn’t take much to care for our hands I guess feeling down and out makes customers feel defeated why they don’t bother? Once they make up their minds to do better? All is not lost and change comes, thank you for sharing your amazing videos this is a true transformation here that you’ve done with this lady’s nails in the video awesome work✅✅✅👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🥰🥰🥰

Omg! I could watch your videos forever! I’m just watching how perfectly you shape the nail and keep control of your bead. The consistency of the liquid to powder ratio is perfect too! Something I’m working on myself (aspiring nail tech here☺️) is the ratios, mine tend to be too wet sometimes and also working on my nail prep, I feel like I have a problem over filing my nails too. Your videos have helped me so much on my journey. Thank you for all the amazing content your provide for us! ♥️

Nailcou amazing job- question for someone taking care of their nails at home- is it safe to continuously apply overlay (polygel) to natural nails or should the gel be removed completely every once in a while-like every 2 months for the nails to breathe? I like my polygel because it is given me more strength. Just curious
@Lavendersmooches4 жыл бұрын
Nails don't need to breathe. It is best to change the gel if you want to change the shape of your nails from almond/oval/stiletto to square. When you are ready to give your nails a break is really up to you. But if the nails start lifting, or if you are seeing damage please take them off and do a new set or just keep them natural.

Sounds like she was allergic to the Poly Gel, which she wouldn’t know unless she used it which is quite common
@KateandBree3 жыл бұрын
This has happened to me and I’ve had polyfil. It’s not an allergy, my nails were simply way overfiled so my nails could hold no product and it lifts from the cuticle. It’s extremely painful when it lifts.

Oh I really enjoy this video I love seeing how to fix damaged nails because I’ve been doing my own and every once in a while I have over filed and I find that putting gel over top has not been staying on so I think I’ll try the acrylic. I love you
@Hiyorin8714 жыл бұрын
you probably need to work on prep work if gel doesn't stay on your nails I been doing my own gel nails cause I can't stand the acrylic smell it gives me severe headache, my gel nails stay atleast 2 months without lifting you also probably wanna look into better products .
@msCandelicius4 жыл бұрын
I used to have the same problem for a long time and this is everything i do to fix the problem: 1) definitely try better products and if you wanna have acrylics on, try acid primer (it holds the acrylic better than non acid primer, and if the problem stops in the future you can back to non acid primer) 2) make sure you leave no shiny spots when you file the surface on the nail but specially in sidewalls, cuticle area and free edge 3) take your time to really clean the cuticle area. This is the most important step!! You gotta male sure there is absolutely no dead skin whatsoever because any minimum particle could cause lifting. You might consider switching to an e-file, they do a much better job. 4) remove the dust with pure alcohol or acetone instead of cleanser because some cleansers might contain a small amount of water and that causes lifting 5) apply dehydrator twice and primer (wait 10 seconds) on one nail, create the extension, THEN move on to prep the next nail and create the extension. This really helps if you have hyperhydrosis: some nails can get oily when you apply the dehydrator and primer on all 10 nails at the beginning of the process!! Take into account that the first few times you use fake nails your body could try to reject them, but if you have this problem more than 2 times it's not that. Also, hormonal problems cause lifting so if you have thyroid problems, are pregnant (in this case you can only use gel), have diabetes or any kind of hormonal disorder, your applications will not last that long I hope this helps 🌸
@nailsofinterest4 жыл бұрын
Oh i used to have that issue only 2 nails it was part my prep, part my body but now I only use builder gel and it works fine I had to 1st stop using too much primer, after a while I added thinking "more the better".. nope 1 coat scrubbed in...but some swear by two. Everyone gave awesome tips here!! Only extra thing is I mix my own cleanser/ dehydrator mostly 99% alcohol with some 100% acetone no dyes, scents nothing. I "wash up" with 100% alcohol even before I even start Nails, fingers, under nails...helps stop oils etc from transferring by accident and keeps your nail stuff clean too.😉 no germs. Then I hand file, (scruff up nail surface, nothing crazy), dehydrate all then repeat per nail, (as I'm a bit oily. I can't see it...just can tell by how it lifted). Then light coat of primer ( I do use acid. Technically they both have acid, just various amounts, i found one that doesn't stink or burn) Then a bonder that requires to be cured, scrubbed in well... but only 1 coat. Then onto gel...or whatever system you prefer...try to keep all products from same system too it definitely helps too! Nailcou / Anastasia has an awesome webinar (video) still on this channel look for "no lift webinar ". No matter what product you use it will help so much! .. i have heard your wipes can be an issue too... make sure nothing else is on them also i skip washing with moisturizing soaps before I do my nails... I make sure they are totally dry before I ever start. Yep certain medical issues, those hormones, can wreak havoc too.. I've heard of many nail techs having to ask clients to go see their physician as they did allover could.... usually pregnant or another hormone issue. Not everyone has this.. but can. Also Anastasia teaches at Nails Pro Academy (also has a KZbin channel ). I hear her online classes are awesome I'm definitely joining one day!!! Been to about every free webinar. .. Sign up for the emails you'll learn loads there alone!! Plus info about upcoming ones and classes. Sometimes a free quick extra after a webinar or chance to win a full class!!! 😊 hope someone here has helped...just try one or two new tips n see if they help.. 💜💖💜
