Beautiful work. I’m so grateful to see someone dealing with a substandard set of nails in a constructive way. Instead of tearing down the previous technician, you were quick to point out what was done acceptably, and to use those things that weren’t as a way to teach. Thank you for your kindness and positivity, I deeply appreciate you and all you do. Love, light, and blessings to you and yours.

I have a set that ... are ill constructed acrylic over tips with shall we say a knock off application of an hombre as well as flat in build but they are solid as a rock I've had them since March 11th, no lift no breaks. I'm trying to figure out how I can save this $55.00 set of nails and possibly correct the lack of a c curve and apex with a form for the base structure and use a dual form for the actual product application.
@arleneportsmouth12633 жыл бұрын
@@maryduff8831 well what I'm thinking is that if you can somehow manage to get the color off using either an emery board or an e-file we would start there. Once you had the top coat and design successfully removed, you would assess whether or not there was enough product applied to sand them forming a c curve. However if you are missing the Apex and or the side walls, I would daringly apply the gel into the Dual form and then press them onto the nails. I honestly have not use acrylic in over 25 years so I am not sure if you can apply gel over acrylic. You are very fortunate that there is no lifting at the cuticle area. My biggest issue is that I purchase the Beatles gel kit from Amazon and it does not come with dehydrator or primer. So even though I did a great job applying them, they were lifting 3 days later and constantly gets stuck in my hair. Try sending these down when you don't have any carbide attachments.
@maryduff88313 жыл бұрын
@@arleneportsmouth1263 my daughter has that same problem with Beatles so she ordered MAKART and it came with the primer and dehydrator she’s on week 4 and I just replaced a pinky nail but the rest are still solid. So I’m thinking that all of the gel products need the primer as well as the dehydrator. I’ve noticed that some of the gels are heavier duty than others. I have one that it takes nothing to file the cured gel down to nothing. Where as the other 3 brands have more durability and from what I can tell is the primer is the biggest key to wear and stability.., oh and those 2020 nails lol I took as much of the acrylic off as possible then capped them with clear acrylic then took them off about a month after that.

I LOVE that u are taking such care of her damaged areas, without causing more damage. Most people would've just soaked off and started with a new set. Since she has cuts on her cuticles and over-filed nails, that could've hurt her. It's so nice to see your talent as a professional by paying such close to detail and concern for her client. BRAVO! Great share! 🤗

Ya know? I've done both acrylic and polygels and I think for me they both have different purposes. I can't stand to use polygel as extensions. It's extremely difficult to work with and many hours of practice doesn't seem worth the results. However I absolutely love polygel for things like this. Tiny work areas or little fills here and there and I'll even use it on myself for fills over acrylic because my nails grow so stinking fast. I also like that slip solution, unlike acrylic monomer doesn't have a powerful odor. It's just 70% alcohol. Anyone that does excellent job with polygel has my utmost respect. I tip my bonnet to you lol

Wonderful transformation, Anastasi! As usual, your skills are TOP! I do prefer the glossy top to the matte one, for this colour combination it just looks dull. Maybe one nail could have been matte, but - well - in the end, it's what the Customer wants and likes, right? :) I also loved your advice of filing the natural nail under the extension - I type a lot and I have just 2-3 mm of oval-shaped nail longer than my fingers, and I always get lifting. Instead of always filing down the product so that I can reapply on the nail where the lifted part is, I started to consider using a cone-shaped bit and gently removing the lifted nail instead.

4:39 shouldn't that be 'under the Eponicium' instead of under the cuticle? But fact is that there was hardly any old cuticle skin removed from the nailplate.. and the nail gel polish was painted Over the cuticle and pushed under the Eponicium.. That Is very tricky to remove when the skin is so sensitive and already been cut by nailfile that weren't seasoned.. (edge along of a entire new nailfile filed off with another nailfile so the edge isn't so sharp anymore and cuts like if you were cut by paper has a lesser chance but with very sensitive skin even that could be too sharp, by the way, also buffers can have sharp edges, mostly the coarse ones but always ask your client how sensitive her Eponicium is, that can help you a lot for preventing but also say it always can happen even if you don't intend to do it, it is a risk with extra sensitive skin) *not saying this client from Anastasia has extra sensitive skin. But correcting the work from others is ALWAYS a challenge, in any profession.. So, everybody who deals with these situations I have respect for because you can and may turn it down. And also rightfully if you do. Great work showing this so clear Anastasia, great work! That must not have been easy, at all!

Thank you for posting such educational videos!! I’m someone who has only ever painted her nails with regular polish at home, so I’ve never had gel on my nails or used it before. Just like you said in this video, the index and thumb nails on my dominant hand grow down very curved, and I want to correct those nails with builder gel. However, I don’t own any efiles so I can’t do it the way you show here. Is there a reason you choose to change the curve this way instead of cutting the natural nail short and using a form to build an extension out straight?
