If you have friends that want to teach you, no. Problem is, it's a complex competitive 5v5 game with a very steep learning curve, and the community had 14 years to get good at it. If you're a new player, you will suffer. The tutorial can't do more than explain the rules, and you'll quickly find that that is not worth much. Random teammates also can be VERY intense, and some will flame you for doing badly even if they know you are a beginner. But even when they don't, they can't do anything to help you learn. Mistakes at first are very punishing, and you can find yourself in a situation where you have to avoid the very combat you should be practicing because you're too far behind in level and items to do anything even if you'd play it perfectly. And of course knowing that you're in such a situation in itself requires game knowledge. And omg, you can fill a library with the game knowledge there is to have about league. There are tools to help with some aspects (which items to buy for example), but they don't provide more than a starting point. If you play with friends, they can make the introduction less punishing. You'll have someone to tell you what to do, and to cheer you up with stories of how bad they sucked at first too. They'll also have your back when a random teammate inevitably acts shitty towards you. It gets fun. Once you have the hang of it, and especially when you're playing with the right people. This game is as popular as it is for as long as it has been for a reason. But to get to that point you'll need a lot of patience, and resistance to frustration.
