+Rajesh Srivastava there is no age in sports Rajesh. Once you you keep playing stamina will keep increasing. We just need to make sure we follow the right tactics initially as later those will become part of the habit. I started when I was 28. I am 35 now, playing in tournaments. Already won one tournament. I hope to win to the next one. It took me five years just to play backhand clear shot correctly.

Thanks a lot, Ma'am. Your demo along with the theory with the right metaphors could make me understand clearly, how and why one player should play, the perfect way. Though I learnt a little bit of the techniques at an advanced age of 60 plus, your videos are very helpful in improving my game. Thanks once again.

You are a great teacher. Your explanation and emphasis on every little part of the entire shot makes you really different from other coaches. Great work!!

I always thought of this shot as the "Curveball smash" and did it from deep in the corner. You wind up like a smash or a long distance clear from your dominant side - your opponent clearly sees the massive wind - up and is thinking " Oh he's gonna blast it down the right, or hit some kind of clear 'cause he's trapped, I'll back off" (I'm right handed). Hold the deception. The setup is just as described. (Though I used my wrists instead to do the bulk of the shifting and cheated) For me, my coach told me to think of the swing as a curveball. Full blast swing, but it has a slight arc to it making contact even more trashy. That extra cut is a slice - the bird sits just over the front LEFT net :D

but i also have a question, how to slice the shuttle? make the shot drop quickly and closely to the net? in internet , most tutorials told us how to close the net, but shuttle speed is very slow for opponent that they can walk to net and save it.

For even more stupidity I was pretty good at an over the head version I called the "Rainbow drop". You're stuck, deep in your offside (I'm right handed, so this is left corner) from something above you. Open the racket as shown AND turn your wrist as far as it goes. Starting from behind, swing up over your head to the left AND also at the shuttle hard, finishing towards your left hip. Done properly, you should Slice AND drop the shuttle over the opposite side net. The trick is several fold - I don't resort to this. You need to gauge power - cut - aim, AND you need to **hit the bird** with a bizarre motion - the contact is sideways. However, in my local matches, I guarantee this shot comes out of the dark

I agree...they are on the long side. It would be nice to see what is being learned at the beginning of the video (feeding Anna and she plays the shot), and then a breakdown of what it is. Makes it easier to conceptualize.
