In intermediate and beginner game, the opponents usually stand further back, thus the return is usually flat push or low lift. At higher level however, net shot is more frequent, thus we usually cover the net first instead of going backward and intercept the push. I hope I am not wrong coach. :)

In general, but everyone has their own habits... Just guess but make sure you can recover if you guess wrong. The safest guess is always the net as even if you don't intercept, you have your partner

These technique videos are amazing. Could you share your thoughts on how to stay mentally ready for those big games, close scores, and holding on until you've won? Imagine you're up 19-15, but the other side manages to get to 19-19, how do you stay calm and win the next 2 points 21-19? Thanks!

Thanks. I've always been unsure what to do against spin serves. Usually, I wait for it to stop spinning. But that is too slow.

Yes true they are tricky to return😊 But put som spin back into it and spin it back🤩

Most of the time my opponents either lift or (if i serve a little higher) push to mid/rear court. Is there a way to force the reciever to play the serve back to me ?
@Jigsaw2533
@Jigsaw2533 2 жыл бұрын
it's good to get a lift, then you are already in attack
@chethanmohan
@chethanmohan 2 жыл бұрын
@@Jigsaw2533 If your partner is good then yes. Sometimes weak partners, instead of attacking, clears and hands over the attack, so I'd like to avoid that situation.
@xxWidex

@@chethanmohan If your partner really cannot attack, stand further back to intercept the push. At least for lift, your partner still can clear or drop. Also do more flick serve rather than low serve.

How about high flick serve
@chethanmohan
@chethanmohan 2 жыл бұрын
@@Flemingambrose I rarely use flick serves since my accuracy isn't very good with that. My low serve is very good and difficult to attack so I prefer that.

If you step in on your low serve aren’t you leaving a lot of court for your partner ?
@Flemingambrose
@Flemingambrose 2 жыл бұрын
You are indirectly forcing to lift which can only be to the extreme corners and puts the opp team in defence straightaway
