HyperX Finally adds a 60% to the Alloy Origins line. They get a LOT right here but I'm really curious to see if there's still a market for a pre-built standard 60%

Both are pretty much the same, if you want something cheaper but gives you more customization, get the gk61. It’s hotswap so you can change out the switches to any switch you want at any time. It’s only like $60 aswell....

@@Triannosaurus well the MIYA has a very good design where the PCB and plate don't use any screws, it is just hold together by the two parts of the case that clips into each other. It has built in sound dampening foam too, pretty great typing experience for the price

Spend the extra $10 and get yourself a GMMK Compact. Or buy a barebones GMMK Compact for $59.99. It gives you the option to upgrade your stabs and your switches as you see fit. And for someone like me, it was my gateway into the custom keyboard world. It gives me the freedom of playing around with different lubes and switches. It's a tank.

I was contemplating on getting the 60 or the 65 but I went with the 65 just because of the dedicated arrow keys and the home, delete, page up and page down keys on the right side and not hidden under a second layer with the function key. I use the arrow keys a lot when I do work in Photoshop and I do use the delete key al lot too. Overall a really solid keyboard and I love the red escape and spacebar(only if you get the red switches) you get with the 65

@Male Sensitivity People who share a workspace/cubicle with other shifts and have to haul their gear home to work and back every day. Having a smaller keyboard seems to give you a lot more room on your desk makes less clutter feeling especially if you already have a small desk to begin with.

@Male Sensitivity not everyone does "data entry" at work. if you work in programming you may not need make giant spreadsheets in excel ect. I just switched to a 10KL keyboard at work and i'm getting used to it. I can see the appeal to a 60% but the arrow keys are the thing thats holding me back and also most 60% i see have the "delete" key in the most random place and you have to hit function to use it. Most laptops are some kind of small form factor keybaord already so if your already used to a laptop keyboard a small form factor keyboard is not that different.

I've had this one for a while and it's still one of my favorites! I'm currently using my Azoth most of the time but depending on the work day I switch to something even smaller on my main PC. That has been this for a while but recently picked up a Corsair K65 Mini Pro and it's VERY nice. I have the aqua switches in the Origins 60s, and blues in the Azoth (as I do in most of my keyboards) but actually enjoying the optical switches right now... they are so smooth and fast. The mini pro feels completely different than the original K654 mini, at least IMHO. This HyperX Origins 60 still gets my pick for best 60% even being a few years old, FN placement just makes that board if you are coming from a larger one.

At this point i would like to see a improved version from Steelseries apex pro with a 60% keyboard with omnipoint switches and a 60% Wooting one keyboard with those new analog keys that would be really interested.

Man, are the Drop Dan Clark Aeon X Open still your main daily headphone? im between buying these, the Monolith M1570 (the headband is a little bad and have some issues with priority cable, but people say that the sound of the M1570 is even better than the LCD2) and the Hifiman Ananda to listen specially to Epic Soundtracks/Orquestral like Hans Zimmer/Hiroyuki Sawano, watch movies and play immersive games. You said that the Aeon X Open are better than the Sundara, but for this specifically purpose is it still the best? Any recommendation (under $700)?

Around a hundo, I'm going for a 65% if I can. There's one in particular I grabbed from Drop: FLEsports F12 Polia Edition. Not a perfect board but a lot to like, especially when it's hot swap, Bluetooth, and comes with Kailh Polias: really nice tactile switch to compete against the Halo lineup without the obnoxiously heavy springs in the Trues (100g bottom-out, yikes).
