it's a remake of very old folk song, from bengal... original song is " boroloker beti lo, lomba lomba chul" it's a traditional folk song of bengal, it was penned by Ratan Kahar, the lyrical machine of folk, from bengal.... Badshah has stolen his lyrics without taking any permission from him and he didn't mention the name of the original creator of the song, which is very bad...... if you want to listen the original folk song, then reply me... This song is a sheer example of plagiarism.The original writer of the two lines of Bengali song used here is Mr Ratan Kahar, a Bengali folk singer( Baul Singer) from Birbhum District of West Bengal and he has not been credited anywhere here. Also, the original song was written as a sad song but here the song has been presented explicitly. Baul singers are folk singers who are usually poor people and they sing on trains and buses or on the streets of Bengal and ask money from people for their livelihood. Mr Ratan Kahar wrote this song in 1972 when he met a young unmarried single mother from a lower caste community named Haridasi who became the victim of a rich upper caste man's lust and got pregnant. The rich man abandoned her as soon as she got pregnant and denied the fatherhood of the child. The whole village ostracized and shamed her. She gave birth to a baby girl and started living as a single mother. On one day she met the Baul singer( Folk singer) Mr Ratan Kahar, whom she narrated her sad story. Her daughter had a fair complexion like her biological father the rich man, not like her mother Haridasi who had a dark complexion. Haridasi was narrating her ordeal and past to Baul/Folk singer Mr Ratan Kahar, sitting in her mud house while doing a ponytail or hair bun on her young daughter's hair with the help of a piece of red colour fabric. There Mr Ratan Kahar got the idea of writing this song and he immediately wrote and sang this song there. This song was later popularized when Bengali Folk singer Swapna Chakroborty sang this song for an album in 1976 without giving any credit to it's original writer Mr Ratan Kahar. Mr Ratan Kahar currently living at Siuri, a sub-divisional town in Birbhum District of West Bengal and after this remix video by Rapper Badsha, he said to a news channel that he doesn't have enough money to fight a court case against the singer of this remix for plagiarising his song. Here is the translation of the song from Bengali to English. Boro Loker Biti Lo Lomba Loba Chul Emon Mathai Bedhe Debo Lal Gendha Phool= Rich Man's Daughter has long hair, I will tie a Red Marie Gold on it. Boro Loker Biti means Rich man's daughter. Lomba Lomba Chul means Long Long Hair. Where Boro means (in this context) Rich. Loker means Man or Guy. Beti means Daughter Lomba means Long Chul means Hair. Bedhe debo means to Tie or to Wrap in this context. Gedha Phool means Marie Gold Flower. Khopa Means Hair Bun. Note: Here Rapper Badsha has not mentioned or given credit to the original writer and singer of this song Mr Ratan Kahar.
