Tips for Eating Mookata as local people 1.spread pork lard all over the pan so it's oily the pork won't stick to the pan 2.try your best not to drop the pork into the soup cause we like it to be more color and crispy 3.if the pan is burnt you can always ask for a new pan hope you all enjoy thai food :)
I'm Thai. And to be honest Thai ppl didn't stand up while grilling cuz we are get used to it and we totally know that which pieces are completely done and good by our instinct. We eat a lot and This is country of various food and Street food. Thai ppl eats Moo krata because of it scent of smoke and crispy taste when it grilled. so please don't put the pork into soup parts first before grill. if the Krata burned just ask to the employee of the restuarent to change it for free. And importantly, this is Mookrata that evolution from Mooyang Genghiskhan (which is a name of first bbq restuarant in Thailand since 2500s) that time Thai ppl still don't know about Korean BBQ. So please don't mislead the wrong information. Thai ppl like to eat Moo Krata long long time before KPOP fever take place in Thailand.

1:56 Thank you for liking 'Moo Krata'. But I want to let you know that this menu was not developed from Korean grilled pork. It originates from the Japanese cuisine 'Genghis Khan' (ジンギスカン), which uses lamb grilled on a pan. The only difference is that Thailand use pork because people like to eat it more and it's easier to buy. Therefore, both the shape of the pan and the Thai grilling method are inherited from Japanese cuisine. Before evolving into 'Moo Krata'. As for Korean grilled meat, it only became widely popular in Thailand about 10 years ago following the trend of Korean series. But 'Genghis Khan' and 'Moo Krata' were popular long before.

The stove originates from the Mongol period, when soldiers fought in the past, but with the temperature there It's very cold. Soldiers therefore liked to make fires and cook food, but sometimes they forgot to take the pan with them. So the soldiers used hats. It's a replacement container for grilled. After the war ended The grill began to evolve from there.

In the comment section, I see Thais mocking Korean culture and traditions, but I don't see Thais pointing out that it's racist. Does anyone feel as annoyed as I do? Lol, I think people who turn to look will feel the same way. In Thailand, we don't do that. Charred pork is the ultimate in deliciousness. Dropping pork into a soup is a serious offense. If you want to eat boiled pork, you can choose shabu. And the pork pan shop can change the pan if it burns. But thank you for enjoying our food and I will follow you.😊

@trafalgark6920 You Thais always look down on my South Koreans as terrible racists, worshiping Japanese too much, but what? Look at the mirror to see yourself first? It's funny to hear. When he wasn't Paik Jongwon but Gordon Ramsay, and when Gordon Ramsay said the same comment, do stupid Thais just goona feel very angry with the theory of Korean origin and eagerly deny it? You Thais must have accepted it if a white man had said so, but you have contempt for all Koreans and insist that this food originally belongs to Japan, since that man is Korean, so you Thais are all cowardly racists. Did I say Moo Kratha is never Thai food? No S Korean said Moo Kratha is Korean. All Thais have a big problem, that they feel deep inferiority complex against S Korea. Why are you angry? That's why I hate any people from any poor country. They always insist that Koreans are racists, although they never say anything rude. You just feel Koreans insult Thais, because all Thais have inferiority complex all the time. Hey, we Koreans just have no interest in Thailand. Is it still racism? Any people from any poor country always yell that Koreans are racists, and I'm truy fed up with it. Listen, I just feel absurd, whenever you Thais spit bad words against Koreans. You Thais are just upset, as S Korea is rich, although Thailand was poorer than S Korea even in the 1960s.

Ok, let me hypothesize a situation. It’s like having a chef from China teach you how to eat kimchi and then subtitle that kimchi comes from China. Korean people don‘t know how to eat kimchi. So what do you think? I understand cultural differences very well. Just open mind in a different way. And I have searching about grill pork like chef did. It look so tasty and I’ll try in next time when I went to Korea.😉
@SHLEE-q3g Жыл бұрын
I understand what you mean. But you know Baek Jong-won didn't mean to. He intended to let people know his skill of not burning a grill. (including Koreans.) He doesn't mean to teach Thai And Korea is protesting China's claim that kimchi is their food, Korea does not protest that some dishes, like jajangmyeon, originated from Chinese food. If you look up Thai wiki and search, Mukata is known as Korean origin (หมูย่างเกาหลี) That's all Jongwon Baek recognizes. And of course, Mukata is Thai food.

Dear netizens, You can talk shit about our government, our kings, or whatever, we don’t mind. But, the audacity to talk shit about how ‘we don’t know how to cook our food properly’, though. That’s crossing a line. Mookrata is ‘basically’ a ‘cultural dish’ that’s literally eaten everywhere in Thailand. I’m not saying that what you did is the ‘wrong’ way of eating or denying that this dish might have the ‘origin’ from Korea. For all we know, it’s possible. You and esp. the editors team are wrong to put all those words accusing that we’re wowed ‘cause we realized we’ve been eating it the wrong way. Learn from this mistake chef and don’t go offend other cultures again. ด่าหมูกระทะกู เดะทุบหลังแอ่นเลยนี่

I am Korean, but it is not expressed in that way in Korean. If there is such a subtitle, it should be corrected
@Youdunknoeme Жыл бұрын
It’s in Thai subtitle. I didn’t watch it in other languages so I’m not sure what they said. But basically it said something like ‘confused. Why is the chef standing up?’ Then followed by ‘Cause they don’t know how to eat it correctly.’ Or when he’s ‘teaching’ that people should boil their meat then grill it later to prevent burning the grill. Thais don’t care about that. We like that little burnt scent, a lil charr on our meat and lots of ppl like it crispy. And if the grill gets burnt, we simply ask for a new one. Something along this line and it was on for quite a few times. It’s not showing like ‘YOU ARE WRONG’, but more like ‘THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY! THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!’ Hope this helps.

I'm grateful to see how Korean people usually eat their grilled food and first time to know that it was nostalgic and similar to origin as Korea. Me and my family used a lot of technique they give in the video since I'm a kid and I don't think the burning pan is great or you can always ask for a new pan is good to solve the problem, but that's aside since everyone taste are different, I just like the way of eating similar to Mr.Paik Jong Won. And when I see he enjoy eating with sauce until it's all dried out is so adorable, I feel the happiness of good combination of both culture in one meal. Your videos are inspired, informative and make the viewer's tummy rumbling, Please come again and enjoy every meal as always. 🙏 ✨
