Goodnight California is - IMO - her absolutely most stunning song. AND the mastering is also brilliant!!!! - must have listened to this song hundreds of times - and at times three times in a row. An amazing 6:30 minute song -- Big thanks....

Just stop by every now and again to watch this. One of my favorites. Kathleen is awesome on the violin and Gord Tough, what a solo.
@dikbozo4 жыл бұрын
I was hoping the violin part would go on a bit longer but when Gord starts with the at solo, I was lost. Time expanded and slowed so as to allow me to live inside that solo. Time restarted when it ended and I was so much older...

Kathleen is seriously talented. And like many great artists she's rather complicated too. I hope she can find her balance within a music industry that honestly doesn't deserve her.

If you look up the Ken Rockburn interview with her, you’ll find out that she was in lessons as a kid, and even played with the local youth orchestra.

Not just a great singer/songwriter, but also a great musician. The fiddle work is not complicated, but the writing, syncopation, melodies, and professionalism is really impressive. Just great musicianship all around.

When music hits you in the gut like this,it reminds you that you are alive and that there are other people hurting in the world..but what they do is turn it into art that looks and sounds like this..

I just adore this song. You can just feel it and she had to have lived it. It helped me in the past and I still love the way it makes me feel when I hear this song.

Absolute, haunting perfection. Glad she's back after taking time out for herself.

Yes, absolutely! This was one of her last shows before "quitting". Her three encore songs were especially poignant. If you can find it, "Mercury" finished the show and while it didn't get the same kind of views as this, it's still my favorite!

Oh but if only I were good at writing as she is at her music! So much I see and feel and hear in this piece. I have watched every video she has on this number, and each is great and each is different! There is so much going on in these- the raw emotions are so intense. I feel I am seeing something that is not just a song, or just a video. It is a look into Kathleen's soul, and its awesome. All I can do is ramble on, loving her doing it. Its close to intercourse.

@baer15754 жыл бұрын
That's ok, I think I was probably 200 of the first 300 views. I got some great video from what was one of her last shows before "retiring". It was exceptional and really poignant, especially the last 2 songs - Bellevue 12 and Mercury. Aleksandra, feel free to watch it another 350 times - Kathleen's music deserves the attention. It's great to have her back!

She was dealing with a lot of depression issues due to not just the music business but also the breakup over her marriage. She decided to take a break and open a coffee shop. She seems much happier now and has been doing a few performances here and there. I see her coming back at some point.
