Ugh Don't read anything into the fact that David and Dan are too busy filming the final season to be there, but the actors Hannah Murray and John Bradley aren't. It's the show with the biggest cast of characters on television. CLEARLY not all of them are required to be on set at all times like the two main Executive Producers/Showrunners are. Especially since Game of Thrones typically films in two, (and sometimes even three or four,) locations simultaneously for about 6 to 8 months every year. And that's just principal photography. David Benioff and Dan Weiss absolutely have to be there during the post-production/editing phase. (Especially for the arguably most important, very last season of the best show in television history) With the exception of Foley recording, script and scene changes, or re-shoots, the cast generally doesn't.

They're done with the story. (Plus television shows get really, really, really expensive after 7 years to the point that most aren't profitable at that point.)

pigs18 Yes I have noticed 7 years seems to be the cut off point but GOT seems to me way beyond typical fare. That Parks & Recreation lasted 7 proves my point as it was pure dreck. I find it hard to believe they got through all of those huge books already. You know there are a number of soap type dramas and medical in Britain that are 30 years plus and GOT is British. Also Martin is still writing the last book.
