Didn't realize a Kia Sportage 2.0 swap was a thing. Is it common in the B series community?

@@jayinmi3706 yes. Its becoming more popular as well. Other than swapping over oil pan, oil pickup tube and windage tray the motor bolts straight in and to the factory mazda transmission. But this is only for the b2000 and b2200.

@@BasicBagWurx Do the B2300 and B2600 use a different engine block or mounts or something? I'm intrigued.
@BasicBagWurx3 ай бұрын
@@jayinmi3706 the b2000 and b2200 use the same pretty much everything. The b2600 was a carbed mitsubishi engine and then the b2600i was a fuel injected mazda engine. The b2300 is a Ford Ranger at that point.

Why do u convert from original control arms to triangular
@BasicBagWurx6 ай бұрын
@DebeLewis several reasons actually. Tubular control arms look better than the factory arms, plus they are alot stronger than the factory arms. We can also modify dimensions of the control arms to narrow them if need be to tuck different wheels. But also running tubular control arms allows us to be able to change out the ball joints to some that have more travel than the factory ball joints have. Like on the upper control arms the s10 ball joint has more travel than the factory ball joint and also has the same taper, but it has a different bolt pattern.

@@BasicBagWurx ive been doing a mazda as well..not king cab..long tray...i have had a issue with the direction my lower ball joint was (facing down) causing the arms not to raise as high as much to chassis drop..i flipped the taper on the lower ball joints an also the steering end...hoping it helps with travel..but yes i understand that the other ball joints the travel are much more...
