Im getting deeper and deeper into firewood (good or bad lol) and for the last year Ive been wrapping my bundles. My buddy welded up a solid stand and I ordered a case of shrink wrap that came with a plastic handle for the wrap, the whole case of wrap was just under 60 bucks so very cost effective BUT I have to wrap the bundle on both ends and In our area Ive noticed a lot of the bundles, after sitting in the extreme hot and cold and settling came loose and was not very professional looking delivering bundled wood that was falling apart as I walked it to the customer. Another reason I'm switching to bags is the simple fact of carrying multiple bundles at a time. My bundles are 1cf plus and you can only carry one at a time and not that they're heavy it's the over-all size of them so bags makes it easier to carry specially for Women. I'm pitching to several local camp grounds this spring, we have 6 within a 15 mile radius so fingers crossed.

Hi Scott, most people around here wrap or sell loose. I haven’t seen a bag yet. I know there out there, just not here. I think the bag seems super clean and easy to fill. Keep us posted on what you discover. I’m also in on the farm fresh chicken nuggets 🤣 I’ll be back! WST

People like the convenience of the bags and some feel like they get ripped off buying bags.. the the way to please everyone is to give them options..

Nice job, I sell 1cy bags for $5 and 5cy loose stacks for $20. Both seem to move. Curious to hear about the eggs in the cooler? I have 30 laying hens and have thought about setting something up at the stand to sell eggs. Michael

Yes we collect and lightly clean the eggs. Pack them up in old eggs cartons and place them in the cooler with some ice packs. On hot days we change the packs every morning. We were selling the eggs for $4.00 a dozen but just raised our price to $5.00 a dozen as our food cost just went up like everything else. We even went on Facebook market place and found the cooler for free. Any other questions let me know. Good luck with the eggs! Scott

Since I work in a stock room where I get unlimited cardboard boxes, i'm thinking of going that route. Just because it's free, they are getting recycled anyway, and the customer can actually start their fire with it.

I’m doing bags but definitely going to switch to wrap. I pay $85 for a box of bags from Uline out of PA. So the first 17 only pay for the bags. Then after that it’s profitable. So No bags haha

There's a fella on another channel using bailing twine to bind up his 16 inch fire wood sticks. He claims that it is one quarter the cost of the bags. I've never seen anyone selling it per pound of ( dry) I am considering 16 pound bundles and then 32 pound and 50 pound loose bins.

Yes you are correct. I am currently transitioning to plastic wrap now. New video soon. Now I just have to train my customers to like the wrap better than the bags. People just love the bags. They tell me all the time. Guess I will consider raising the price of the bagged bundle to now cover the cost.

I have seen the bailing twine used and have some on hand. I have just been concerned about how the customer would handle the bundle and if I don't tie it well the bundle may fall apart. I will have to give it a try though and see.

Im just gonna say this....people wonder why firewood is so much cash.... Its because guys wanna touch it and play with it 5 times.....i split wood and throw it into one cord piles....then in a year someone buys the pile or half the pile....end of story... The only way they can save money is if i split green wood and throw it right into the trailer for delivery and they sit on it 6 mos to a year.....thats it
