@@outdoorsinthe608 I like the yellow bags vs. the orange/red. Seems like they would be eye catching. I can’t have a firewood stand in my township. There are a few around but my neighbors would file a complaint for sure…

@@backyardfirewood9852 I completely agree about the yellow bags. Sometimes neighbors suck!😂

Good video today, You might consider a clip on mic. like Chris Carlson has. They do enhance the quality of the presentation . I like your bagging process, have you ever weighed them to see what they average out ? The grocery manager where I shop, here in the Quad cities claimed that bags or bundles between 14 lbs. And 16 lbs. Consistently sell faster than the heavier bundles or bags. Seems they are much easier for most people to manage. Younger folks will take in each hand but the physically challenged will need a cart and put two in there. The impulse buyers don't want to ask for assistance to buy stuff they just grab and go. Will be going to watch more of your vid offerings

A mic is on my to get list! I never thought about the weight of the bags before… they are kind of heavy but I have never weighed them before. Thank you Jean👍👍

Great video, the Yellow bags make a good looking presentation. What prices are you charging for your bagged wood vs your bundles? Are you only selling it at your stand or do you have gas stations or campgrounds you’re servicing?
@outdoorsinthe6082 жыл бұрын
Right now I’m selling $5 each bag/bundle. Only in my stand. Pretty sure there is no way I could keep up with a campground or gas station! Thanks for watching Tony👍

Hey Jeremiah, Good video! I haven't had much luck with bundle sales. It seems like most people around here like the fill up their SUV's with loose stack firewood. Have a great day!

@@outdoorsinthe608 I don’t get to watch as much as I used to right now. Crazy busy with life. Every spring once baseball starts I run non stop. I wonder if you put a 6” cut or so up one of the corners of that trash can it might not get stuck.

Bundles look great.. I just do half or full cords. Too many around me do Bundles and I don't want to compete that hard..

Just got to do whatever works👍 I was selling just loose pieces only 12 for $5, but now that I do the bags and bundles also people very rarely buy the loose. Thanks Daniel!

Premium cooking wood in bags would be a real money-maker in oak, and especially so bags of hickory and cherry. Ohio Wood Burner did a video on talking about making more $ from the same volume of wood and one of his ideas was to label bundles as premium cooking wood and sell them for $10ea delivered. No shame in a bundle station made from scrap lumber as a lot of people started out that way. Look up "In The Woodyard" where Chris did a video with his friend Tony on the firewood bundle wrapping machine he bought. Think it was under $700 without shipping and nicely built by an Amish man. Is worth giving a serious look if pursue the bundle side of the firewood market.

Northern Woodsman owes me a sponsorship🤣 My wife found that company and when Shifty was having trouble getting bags on Amazon we were too. I turned him on to NW on a live stream. Now I think the whole community uses them because of Shifty spreading the word! We still use the bags and just bought case #7 👍🏻👍🏻608

And I thought the bag itself was too expensive. I bought a wrapper and reduced my unit cost. The machine itself was not cheap but will pay off over time. What is your price per bag? Where about are you located in the 608?
