great tone... what strings and gauge used? What flat pick/model/thickness used?
@ctruett512 күн бұрын
I would also be interested in knowing what strings these are. They look like 13-56, maybe PBs, EJ17, perhaps?
@BagnascoCasatiGuitars12 күн бұрын
Strings don’t matter much but yes they’re all strung with EJ17. The picks used are tortoise shell
@billdedrick191412 күн бұрын
@@BagnascoCasatiGuitars I have to disagree with you.. Strings do impact the tone, balance, timber and volume/resonance to a noticeable degree and do matter and become part of the recipe along with pick selection to dial in the guitars tone.

@@BagnascoCasatiGuitars Thanks! I have custom shop 1937 d-18. Love the almost banjo-like midrange timbre of these older guitar designs. What tuners do you have on these? I really. Like the oval buttons.
@BagnascoCasatiGuitars11 күн бұрын
@@billdedrick1914 of course strings impact on tone. But you don’t need to know about strings to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a guitar if you know what to listen for. Same goes for picks. Also, if you are used to playing with tortoise picks, you should know that thickness is only one of the factors. Tortoise picks have a different tone depending on the corner hitting the strings and that has to do with bevel and density of that particular area. Also, the same guitar with the same strings and setup and played with the same pick on the same edge will sound very different depending on the player. So either you can tell without knowing about strings and pick, or the mere information about strings and pick won’t help you much I’m afraid

Prima di passare avverti, che non sempre abbiamo strumenti finiti da poter provare. Ora è un buon momento, tra un paio di settimane probabilmente no. Dipende da cosa finiamo e cosa spediamo di volta in volta

I hope the next tribute series is OM-18 or OM-28. Or even cooler, OM-45.
