Back again... made this one for my sister's 89th birthday, pure black! She loves it. she's going to use it when she goes to the Symphony in San Francisco.. Now I'm back; making one for me with black sparkle yarn... on mine I'll add a couple of BoHo beads that I'm making. I lined them with black cotton fabric so our pens & stuff don't fall through. And made crochet handles, too. Thanks so much for your excellent designs and tutorials

I greatly appreciate that you "upcycle" thrift store and second-hand store finds! My late mother was a purse/bag aficionado, but our styles are wildly divergent. I vulturize many of her old bags that weren't good enough to donate to charity. I take out linings for reuse, and zippered pockets, too - saves me a step or two when crocheting or knitting my own, because I don't need to decide what size to make (the old bag's lining dictates size) and if making a change purse or wallet, it already has a lining with a zipper waiting for it, I just need to do a basting stitch to attach my new work to it. When I'm done "vulturizing" an old bag, there's not much left to throw out! If it's made of leather (faux or real), as long as it's not in bad shape, you can even save that to use for making homemade fringe or outer pockets, etc! So save more of those purses you already wisely use for your crochet work, they have even more to offer for your crafting than you think!

Crystal, you are my favorite tutorial teacher. Not too fast, not too slow and easy to follow. I'm making this for an on the go yarn and supply bag. I didn't keep count of my rows and I'm having difficulty figuring out how many rows I have. Lol. Please, never stop sharing. I have a crocheting addiction and would be lost without you.
