Cashay and pan-ash. I’m a grammar nazi! LOL And that is not a ridiculous amount for a yarn order. It’s about average for me and is perfectly reasonable for the size of this haul. And how you spend your money is between you and your husband. Nobody else has any business passing judgment on that sort of thing. Bless you for sharing your yarn goodness and your opinion on different yarn vendors, it is appreciated.

I agree. It's really nice to have Crystal talking crochet while I crochet :) She (you Crystal) has a pleasant conversational voice and reminds me of sitting with my great-grandmother and her sisters as they crocheted 50-60 years ago. The pull string in the worsted 8 is worth it just by itself! LOL I'm a pull from the middle kinda gal so that is an awesome feature. I am so glad you did this video because I have ordered from Herrshners before, but not their brand name. Now I may just do that. The $4.99/lb mill ends is a great price!
@robinsummers76125 жыл бұрын
Herrschners has a lot of sales on shipping...I usually try to wait for those times. Once I paid 15 cents shipping...so it pays to be on their mail list! You did great,, Crystal!

It makes me not feel so guilty that I place orders when I don't need more yarn. I searched it this video because I just bought 20 yes 20 mill end bags. I wish I thought to search for free shipping code. That is what happens when I am tired and shop. I watched the unboxing not knowing if it had Mill ends. But as usually Crystal came through. 😉. So excited that my 20 mill ends could be different.

👀🎶🎶🎶I'd like to add two comments about the Worsted 8. 1. The easy start tab. You could see it in the video, but Crystal didn't point it out. It is so helpful. And 2. If you are not confident about picking color combinations, H's sells packs of color combos, already selected for you. I love that feature.

That's great. You received a lot of different yarns. I personally think what one spends on a yarn order is personal. You're already mentioning what each one costs. Just my honest opinion. Thanks again for this review Crystal. I will look them up and browse what they have. ❤
@castironskilletgranny5 жыл бұрын
I agree. Choosing to disclose spending is personal. The sharing of cost per skein should give us all we need to know. If we can afford the skein, we can buy it. I do appreciate you noting the shipping cost and googling for a discount. Shipping for me would prohibit my buying from them, but that free shipping code might make it possible.

Don't be embarrassed about how much you spend on yarn. You are performing a service for so many of us who are nervous about trying new yarns or ordering online. I have ordered yarn under the impression that it was made in the 🇺🇸 .....it was not stated anywhere at time of order... then receive it and it’s not made in USA. ....I think it’s nice to know prior to purchase being the consumer...to know what I’m buying....I don’t know about everyone else but I personally like to know .... what I eat.. wear ... buy....as a consumer...it’s important to me... ie ....hand dyed.... you pay more for products based on info...correct...that’s all I’m saying ... I want to know what I’m buying...short & simple....

I second that! If someone gets pushy about knowing, just ask them to send a copy of their tax return first. Jk! Glad to know about that Christmas yarn being stiffer. I would have gotten that to make a scarf for my aunt. She loves Christmas and blingy things. (Is that a word???) Thank you!

I totally agree with Carla Griffin you shouldn’t feel pressured into telling everyone how much you spent, if someone is that desperate to know let them work it out as you’ve given the per skein price and quantity you bought so let them work it out, how much you spend on yarn is totally your business and private

Crystal, Thank you for all of your yarn reviews and comparisons. It is so thoughtful of you to also review online stores regarding both the quality of the yarn and their customer service. Because of your review of Deramores, I decided to order from them and I had a wonderful experience. I purchased some of the yarn from your review (love the James C. Brett Rustic wool!) & I purchased several skeins of Stylecraft yarn for the Unicorn blanket CAL. I love everything I purchased and I never heard of them before your review. I probably wouldn't have ordered from the UK because I would have worried about the quality but your review put me at ease and it turned out to be a wonderful experience.
