The strut you showed doesn’t have a metal leader line like some companies offer, does the air line straight to the strut like that okay? I’m sure you want to add protection around it but just wondering on how it does how the way in the video is compared to having a metal leader line

We simply removed the leader line to make filming easier! It usually would have a metal leader line, however, it's not required to run a leader line, and a few different brands of struts don't come with leader lines!

Is there something we should do about potential dry rot of the air strut? Oil the outside maybe?

With the suspension itself being safely out of the sun, we expect 6+ years before the slightest impact of dry-rotting. We haven't recommended oiling the rubber historically, it's not something that we've ever tested.

You do not need to drain the tank fully. Just hold open the safety valve for a few seconds so that it can purge any water that might be in there. You can do this with the car on or off, doesn't matter!

I just now looked up this video cause I’ve been riding on air for like a year now no problems other than sometimes it’ll bounce when it comes down but I wanted to know if I do needed like maintenance here and there lol. I do regularly release air though from the tank. Can someone explain to me what the difference is between height sensors and not having it

Adding height sensors to your control system allows you to air up to the same height every time vs airing up to the same pressure. The system simply becomes more accurate with the height sensors.

No special procedure, just be safe and use jack stands!

I'm not seeing much on this but this would mean you need to empty the water filter and drain valve periodically correct? Can you connect water filter to bottom port that would go to manifold so that you only need to empty the filter?

Correct its good to empty the water trap and tank every few weeks to prevent moisture from getting into the manifold. You do NOT want to connect the water trap to the bottom port of the tank. The bottom of the tank is designated for water to collect and drain through our tank drain kit. If you check our website we have a few good installation manuals showing where the water trap and tank drain kit should be placed.

@@bagriders gotcha thanks for a fast response! While I have you, are you able to add ports to tanks? I'm looking at flipping over the tank to do an upside down set up in the trunk. Could I add a port to the top which would now be the bottom for a drain valve?

@@in4naptime We wouldn't recommend adding a port to the tank. There isn't enough material for the fitting to grab without welding a bung on. We do have some tank options such as the seamless or FLO. Those both would great for hanging upside down and having the ability to be easily drained.

@@bagriders I have to check and I’ll try increasing the PSI tank but in the mornings my front right bag would just air out for no reason and I’ll air it up it’ll just drop again after awhile than it’ll stay up

Is it bad to keep the bags fully deflated while at work or home?

Nope! You can keep the bagged deflated for as long as you want. Do keep in mind if you have rubber bushings that could warp if kept aired out over long periods of time.

The air brake anti freeze will flush itself when you air out and when you drain the tank. If you use your air ride frequently in the winter you can add air brake antifreeze to your system every 2-4 weeks.

Are the preset ride height on the airlift controller supposed to fluctuate while you drive for example 100 psi the minute I start to move dropping PSI anywhere from 10 psi 20 psi sometimes it will go back to the ride preset some time it won't

Yes the pressures will fluctuate slightly while driving, this is completely normal. When you come to a complete stop the pressure should remain the same as to when you first aired up.

@@bagriders sometimes it goes back to the same pressure sometimes the pressure is way lower and sometimes a pressure is way it never really stays exactly at the 100 now today I'm getting a weird leak detected could that be my manifold I use soapy water and checked every fitting airline bag I don't see any leaks first time I got the fault the front driver's side bag lit up yellow on the controller second time I got the fault it was the front passenger side PSI lit up yellow on the controller

You can do either or! If your system doesn't leak you can leave it at your ride height.
