Learn to do 3x3 using beginners method, it only took me a few weeks to almost have it down... then a month or so to properly memorise the algorithms I needed (only 4-5). Can solve 2x2 using the same algorithms also.

I recommend taking it apart and lubing it first. I use traxxas 30k and it really helps making the puzzle smooth an prevent the lock ups. There are a few videos on KZbin showing how you can take it a part and lube it, as well as reassembly.

I remember solving the David Pitcher Octo-Star, which is basically an easier version of this puzzle. It took me an entire day to figure out a solution, so I can't imagine how tough this one is.

I've seen this cube somewhere else before, and it seemed like a semi-common cube before too. The channel/guy that has a lot of views across like 7 videos solving a giant ghost cube is where I've seen it before but it wasn't called this though. It was called something else because it was like a mixture of 2 different kinds of cubes. I am sure I could find the info if you want, unless you know what I am talking about or you know what cube I am mistaking this for. I am curious though, if I am wrong that is, so please let me know.

Hey! I just got my first 2x2 on Christmas! I was really shocked on how easy it is to solve. my highest speed with it is 38.27 seconds. I only use generic Rubik's brand. and I wanted to know if there were any good beginner speed cubes that don't cost too much.. You make awesome videos and I can't wait to see more.

I've solved this puzzle a few times and unfortunately have had it explode a few times, A real pain to reassemble! One has to be very careful that everything is aligned before making your turns.
