Great flight guys - Did the FAGM to Oshkosh and back to FAGM in 1994 with a friend in a Navajo - Brings back good memories - We did the northern route and still recall a KLM 747 pilot calling us up between Reykjavik (Iceland) and Narsarsauq (Grrenland) wishing us a good flight and saying he would swap seats anyday.

I had a bit of a tier in my eye when JP made it to Oshkosh. I’d trade my Sling 4, for a high wing any day. JP is the man…. :)

Thanks for this video, really fascinated by the Sling High Wings. I was there at Oshkosh earlier in the week (stayed night before at Rockford IL and flew-in Sunday morning while the field was still IFR). Wanted to see the High Wings in-person but they arrived the same day I had to leave. I already have a plane now, but a Sling High-Wing is my dream/upgrade/retirement airplane for next.

What’s is your takeoff roll abort plan? Blind aircraft plan? Lost visual contact and rejoin plan? Formation contracts? Formation positions? Lost comms plan? Do you have or do a formation brief? The reason I ask is formation flying is complicated, can be dangerous, requires training and meticulous planning, and just prompting questions you might not have considered before. Unknown unknowns…

You only have to worry about a headwind if you're underpowered. Change that.

How long was the flight?

It was about 1,362 NM and in ideal conditions that would be about 11 hours but we encountered a lot of weather which caused us to divert and slowed us down. Thanks for asking!
