Ingredients for the dough:
3- cups all purpose flour
1/3- cup baking powder
1/4-cup sugar
1-tsp cinnamon
1/2-tsp nutmeg
1-egg
1-tbsp melted butter
1-cup water
Ingredients for sauce:
1/3 cup sugar
227 grams butter
2 eggs
1 can of condensed sweet milk
1 can of coconut milk
1tsp vanilla extract
1 cup browned coconut 🥥
Directions:
Place all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix together. Then add your butter, egg and water lastly. Mix until it forms dough, ass extra flour if dough is too soft. Kneed dough until it firms up or when dough bounce back at the touch of your fingers. Roll dough out on a dry clean surface lightly dust with flour and add coconut filling and roll. Place rolled dough in a clean cloth and place into a pot. Ass 2 cups of water, close lid tightly and boil for one hour. When pot begins to boil turn stove down on low, but “DON’T OPEN “ pot until the hour is up or your dough will fall. When hour is up remove from the pot , unwrap and place dough on a dry surface. Cut and enjoy with sauce!!!!
