Hello. My name is MUHAMMAD FARREL DZAKY ADINVA, and I am the representative of Group 4 from class XI-TKJ 2 of 22 Vocational High School Jakarta. Today, I would like to share a learning video to all of you about our activities that related to the last material in English lesson, Asking and Giving Opinion. More spesifically, Debate activities.

Firstly, what is Debate? Debate is a formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward. Now, this debate was made to challenge and recognize talented high school students here in 11th grade of 22 Vocational High School Jakarta. A total of two groups will take part in this debate, Group 4 and Group 9. And let me introduce to you what kind of style this debate is adapting.

So, this debate is adapt the British Parliamentary Style. This debate consists of two groups of three speakers, with one group on the either side of the motion. Each speaker should deliver a three-minute speech about things that related to the motion. And in this video, the motion that we are discussed about is.... “This house believes that the tourism industry does more harm than good for the citizens of developing countries.”
