Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor 　New Philharmonia Orchestra 　Conductor: Otto Klemperer 　Gareth Morris, flute 　Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, 1969 　*Krempeler recorded all of Bach's Orchestral Suites Nos. 1-4 in stereo, but he also made a monaural recording of the entire cycle in 1954 in his early years with the orchestra. In this later performance, the more leisurely, slower tempo emphasizes the effect of the dotted rhythms, and the effect of the higher resolution of the inner voices in the fugue comes alive. Mahler, Klemperer's teacher, also liked to play this piece often.
