Great video Robert. We have stayed at akumal twice and can't wait to go back. You can't complain about anything. The staff are fantastic, food is very good but the a la cartes are the best in the riviera maya. This hotel has everthing, very much recommended

kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmnNpqSfjNyUZ68 - we've JUST been there in July 2024. Please double-check if they finished repairs AND if they fixed the AC all over the hotel. When we were there it was awful, unprofessional and about 2-3* level hotel with ceiling caulking being done while guests would sit during their lunch time, with leaking showers and black mold in their rooms... in general - the management was charging you their usual price BUT without providing the 'luxury 5*' service.

still cant decided between bahia akumal and bahia coba . Someone said coba have a nicr beech but is not connected with resort . IF we decided to go ahead with akumal platinium that mean we can go to coba aswell and use facilities ?

Akumal is much better choice. Coba does not have nicer beach. Akumal does. Check my Akumal beach video. Staying in Akumal means you can go to Coba as well, no need to be platinum.

Can I ask when you were there? We are booked for November and our first visit was in 2002. We usually stay at Sian Kaan ( 12 times) but wanted a change. As you didn’t speak during the tour, could you give your impressions please, we’re you happy with your stay?🇨🇦

First 2 weeks in July. I stayed in Akumal. In my opinion, the best choice out of those 4 Bahia resorts there (Akumal, Tulum, Coba, Sian Kaan). Sian Kaan is for golf lovers and pretty far from the beach. Staying in Akumal means you get access to all 4 resorts (you can use their restaurants, beaches, pools, evening shows etc), but it does not work the other way around. Also Akumal has the best beach.
