I would have to believe that in February, you won't have as much of a problem as we had in June. Essentially, the restaurants and theaters had terrible air conditioning. It was almost non-existant. It could be that it just couldn't keep up with June heat. I have also heard they are replacing some units, so that should help. I wouldn't worry too much about it if you are going to be there in February.@@jeanettelawler9240

we have stayed twice at akumal and we love it/ Our favorite restaurants are Mikado, Alum, Maiko and mashua nikkei. The hacienda, casino and sports bar are welcoming at night time. highly recommended

We’ve been to Sian Kaan 11 times and will be in Akumal November 4 for a change. Our first Bahia Principe stay was in Akumal in 2002! Obvious you can tell we love it ! Your video was great and the info spot on....we can’t t wait for November to get here! 🇨🇦

here's a review of this hotel as of July 2024. Please do contact the hotel management and make sure they did fix the issues they had in July 2024. We had no AC almost everywhere, protruding electic wires, black mold, and soon. The hotel is really badly managed :(( kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmnNpqSfjNyUZ68

Tough call. Palladium is much newer and has better air conditioning in the restaurants. The 2 story room we had at Palladium was the best room we ever had. Loved the beach pool at Palladium too. Rooms are older at Bahia, unless you get a remodeled one. Much larger selection of restaurants at Bahia, but air con not great except for Don Pablo’s. Bahia is much larger overall with more entertainment options. I would go back to both. It just depends on what you are looking for.
