Everything is a clam or ham haha. Shows a scallop - here's a clam. Shows an oyster - here's a clam. Shows chicken - here's some ham. Too cute haha. Love your content. I found your older videos the first time I went to Akumal. Now I'm revisiting your channel because I'm going to Aquamarine. I'm glad to see you're still out here keeping us educated :)

Great review! Did you prefer the food at Sian Kaan or Barcelo Maya Palace? Which resort overall did you prefer? Currently planning a trip and have it narrowed down to one of those two resorts.

They are both great! The Barcelo has a bit more selection though.

Which buffet had more offerings- Sian Ka'an or Akumal? Were they comparable? Deciding between the two resorts- do you have access to the buffet at every resort if you stay at either of these? I know Coba and Tulum used to have access for both...

Akumal has a bit of a larger buffet than Sian Ka’an, but both are very similar. When we were there, they didn’t want us eating at any other buffet other than our home hotel - we know that this is different from what it used to be 🤷🏼‍♀️ Here’s what the website says: www.bahia-principe.com/en/resorts-in-riviera-maya/resort-akumal/all-inlcusive/

Sian Ka’an definitely had more unique offerings and a fancier display, but was a bit smaller. Akumal and Tulum have bigger buffets with a few more options but not as fancy 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am going there in September, I am a bit disappointed with the buffet tho, in my opinion it didn’t look as good as in other resorts like Barceló. Looks good enough but do you know if we can use the other Bahia Principe Buffets while staying at the Sian Ka’an?

I don’t think you can eat at the other buffets - just the ala cartes at the other Bahias. Even though the buffet might not look as impressive as the Barcelo, I would say that the quality of some of the food is better

Sorry to correct you, but I’ve been many times to Sian Kaan and yes you can access all the buffets and a la cartes at the other resorts. Sian Kaan has access to everything at all the other resorts. Akumal can come over to Sian Kaan as well if adult. 🇨🇦

@@peggy-ann1961 This is what they say on their website: "Access to the facilities and restaurants of the Bahia Principe Luxury and Bahia Principe Grand hotels in the complex, except buffets. If there are children in your party, the adults-only areas of Bahia Principe Luxury hotels are excluded. Guests may use the buffet in their own hotel. *Consult specifications"

Well...we are all different. My jaw dropped when I've seen this. For this price range I think this buffet is amazing. I was wondering how many weeks one should stay there to try everything.
