the story in this scene was that whoever brought the rival leader’s head alive to the queen, would be crowned king. bahubali did it for his motherland and bhalladev cared only for the power. the later “villian” is the actual son of the queen and the crippled old man. bahubali is the son of a different woman who died giving birth so that queen took responsibility. and since he thinks about his people more than the other, she favors him more. in the conclusion movie scene, it’s the final battle between bahubali’s SON and bhalladev. bahubali was killed on bhalladev’s orders after he became king and therefore it was promised that bahubali’s son will come back to avenge his mother’s (the queen) death and will kill bhalladev. also, bahubali and his son look exactly the same. so in the conclusion, it’s not bahubali fighting his “brother,” it’s bahubali’s son fighting his uncle (bhalladev).

I really enjoyed your review for one simple reason. You seem to have got so much of the story from the emotions, the fight, the facial expressions etc. That is actually the competence of the director SS Rajamouli. He is a legend in visual storytelling in India and has given 10 blockbusters in a row since he started making movies. You should watch his movie Eega. Made on a shoestring budget, it is a prime example of how creative storytelling can let you get away with not-so-great special effects
