+bai I work with revit 2016,what you have done so far is good. But I think you should start explaining the properties tab and the project browser tab too, specially the visibility graphic override parameters and the view range setting which are very important aspects while learning revit. For instance if someone does not know how to set the view range properly he may not see something which he has drawn.Another thing normally you start a project by creating the level in the elevation, exemple ground floor level, first floor level, roof etc....then you work on the plan. It's just my suggestions and opinions.

I'm currently using Revit 2016 Structure to learn the program but I'm using a tutorial for the 2015 version. Every time I open a Revit 2015 file from the tutorial it goes through a somewhat time-consuming conversion or "enhancement" process. This conversion only seems temporary though. As soon as I close the file, or save it, it reverts back to its original 2015 file version. Is there a way to permanently save the file to a 2016 "enhanced" version so it doesn't go through the conversion process every time I open the file? Thanks.

Hi, Can anyone explain the reasoning behind Autodesk's thinking when they brought out two Revit programs.... one for UK & Ireland with Level 0 representing Ground floor and Level 1 as First floor) and the other for the rest of the world with Level 1 representing Ground floor) and Level 2 as First floor) ???? Thanks, Oche

I want to change careers to become a BIM Modeler so badly. But my company ( electrical contractor ) wouldn't dare pull me out of the field to learn this. Does anybody please have any suggestions on how to get started in a good career path? I can't just switch because I have bills. I just don't know how to start 😣
